I love this. The professor is such a character, and I rather admire his oddness. In fact, I can totally relate. And, nothing cures a spell of loneliness like a loyal canine friend.

I have a bluetick coonhound, and he happens to adore cats! He has made friends with a neighbor's cats and we often go to her house for a visit. I'm trying to convince my husband that we should adopt a kitty friend for Greyson (my dog.)
