Description
This was originally one of my fake water starters (shudder), but after revamping it, I was content with just making it a regular two-stage species. It’s worth to note that one of Smogon’s own fakemons isalready rocking the pirate octopus design , and while I definitely confess of being inspired by it, I felt like giving that theme my own twist.
Most setup sweepers can have their plans ruined by opponents with Roar or Whirlwind, and to date, the only species with both Suction Cups and a reliable setup move is Cradily with Curse, which is something I wanted to rectify. And since the above ocean dweller has a shell, then you can already guess that Shell Smash would be something most interesting to give it. Still, there aren’t any physical Water or Dark moves in the 120 BP club, so bulky waters, Unaware users, and a middling special bulk should hopefully still keep this thing at bay (hue).
Names originate from Conch + Corsair, and Captain + Terror.
Notable moves: Shell Smash, Waterfall, Hydro Pump, Surf, Aqua Jet, Knock Off, Sucker Punch, Dark Pulse, Ice Beam, Ice punch, Drain Punch, Poison Jab, Reflect Type, Recover, Taunt.
Edit: Added Dark typing to the base stage.

I think both you and Smogon do justice to this amazing concept.
Love the cthulhu style of its face. It adds to its "terror" side.

honestly the design is much better than Arghonaut anyway. Such a great integration of the shells into the design.

Mollusks such as Octopi are also known for their hardened beak-like jaws, which they use to (ironically) crack open other mollusk's hardened shells, so I'd also give them Crunch as a notable move.

Omastar is even more eligible for that move, and it only gets Bite. Not to mention that Knock Off is essentially all it needs and what's pretty much always run instead of Crunch, as removing the opponent's item is very beneficial.

True, but it would be nice flavor wise. Lets face it: it isn't like he'd need it for coverage. And you just pointed out something I never even knew! I kinda always assumed that Omastar got Crunch.

I definitely see Arghonaut's influence in Capterror's design, but overall I think that Capterror stands out enough as its own concept.

Speaking as someone who's also got a couple of pirate squid Fakemon designs in her back pocket, they're definitely distinct enough.
