I know it's the whole alley that's the focus here...and yet I've been browsing your photos and I absolutely love getting a glimpse of all these little open to the element eateries, tiny and unique that are so distinctive to the Asian culture, places that you would never find in the US. I can just imagine the mouth-watering smells that waft from the hot kitchens, tempting passing unsuspecting citizens. Someday...someday I'll get to experience it too! Thank you for including them and making them look even more tantalizing

I think so too! My favorite of these places is under the Yamanote tracks in Shinbashi and Yurakucho.

I drug my friends to find this gem.. this image makes him look spectacular but he's only about 1 1/2 feet tall. They'll never let me live it down. ^O^

Beautiful as always. I don't know what you do to give your photos such distinctive lighting and sense of movement, but I can't get enough of it. You're by far my favorite photographer. I don't usually make many comments, but I think you should know.

As for my style, I the city really helps me. The wide variety of different lighting sources in Tokyo really add to the ambiance. Next, my editing technique focuses on bringing out contrasting colors by adjusting white balance and saturation of each RGB channel.
Finally, for the motion, it's a matter of timing as well as shooting from the hip. I shoot while I move and the subject moves. The movement is capture as a consequence of that technique.
