Redcandle asked for “Cersei privately saying good-bye to Myrcella before she’s sent to Dorne. I envision Cersei being a fierce mother lioness and reminding Myrcella she’s a Princess and a Lioness and Better Than Everyone Else. Maybe she got Myrcella a tiara as a gift because I like the image of Cersei fiercely adjusting a tiara on the head of her little lookalike daughter.”

I think, and this is just my personal theory,
That Myrcella was her favorite, because she said these to Ellaria.
"I know we're not suppose to have favorites but we love who we love'
"I never got to have a mother, but myrcella did"

I personally think that her favourite was Joffrey, but I like your theory as well. Certainly Myrcella was a lett problematic child (given that she comes without the responsibility of inheriting the crown) and therefore her relationship with Cersei is "freer" and les anxious. This also reflects in the fact that Myrcella seem actually a normal child - not spoiled or paranoid like Joffrey.

It's an interesting theory. I think that given their very different personalities, probably Joanna would have been closer to Cersei than Cersei is with Myrcella.
