Description
The object known as Inert Creature 452.Dormant, battered and its armored hide bearing witness to the passage of time; it couldn't possibly be alive still, could it? -and yet, there are persistent reports from people who swear on their sanity, they notice its moved a bit since last they passed it by.
It's gotta be the tide, pushing it around; right?
I had actually planned on painting this from the start when I came up with the idea of the research-submarine, going around, cataloguing wreckage in the world of my stories, then; I needed a break from sketching stuff so I made this speed-painting. From the initial sketch that I took a pic of with my phone-camera, rather than scanning it - to the final shading and effects, I worked on this for two days, for about two or three hours in total, so yes, it is a speed-painting by my standards.
Edit: I just updated the framing and some transparency issues and shading.

Wow man, you gimme way more credit and praise than J deserve, but I thank you loads for your kind words and support.
Usually I want part of my pictures to pop out of the frame, but in this case, the he'd is supposed to be further away from the viewer, it wouldn't feel right. I should've had a different part of the machine, protruding though.
This was a quick piece so not much thought went into it, but I am thrilled that you liked it so much.

I love how technical your stuff is. If you're ever up for a collaboration, maybe we should try working together; like you can design something for me to draw a "beauty-shot" -of.
My only request is that it be something down to Earth and not too complicated -and designed specifically for our fun little collaboration, but other than that, you get free reign, if you feel like it.
