An increased combat presence pressed Gigsan Technologies to limit the number of fighter pilots putting themselves at risk. The Anura combat drone is a state of the art, smart-computer controlled fighter designed to do just that. The Anura drone has an internal semi-intelligent non-sentient AI, capable of learning from fights and fighter pilots. The drones are often deployed with a Keora fighter in the lead and are capable of predicting the leaders moves.

Compared to a normal fighter, the Anura has several distinct advantages. The Anura's computer controlled systems are faster and more precise then organic pilots. Unlike a fighter there is no cockpit to target, making them far harder to disable. Fully relying on sensors and combat data, the drone lacks the incentive and creativity of a pilot and is incapable of operating without a controller to help it decide the intent of an unmarked object.
