'Describe what you call art'To me art is something from the heart.
It's an embodiment of a vision,
It's a display of ambition.
An artist's work is never done,
Cause to the artist the work is only part of the fun.
An artist tries to show his emotions,
While sometimes hiding his true motions.
They say the eyes are the gate to the soul,
That's why an artist will never look foul.
They guide people through a world only they see,
A world filled with mountains, miracles, oceans and land seas.
So whenever somebody asks me: 'What is art?'
I do not only answer: "Something straight from the heart,
It's everything we know and that which we don't know.
It's hidden by the illusion of reality only certain people can see through."

I know it's terrible, but I love it when my teachers go off on other students, it helps me learn what not to do. Lord knows they yell at me enough for grammatical errors.

As I see it from the aspect of definition, more or less, any creation can be called art. It's just a matter of agreement. So I don't really think about if anything is art or isn't - I just sit back and enjoy. Whether it is someone else's creation or my own. So, as for the aspect of impact, I see it as something that makes life more fun.

Very nice explanation of art! That's a beautiful description. The only problem I have is "cause to the artist the work is only part of the fun". I feel like it disrupts the flow of the poem. It's a long line. I feel you could even drop "to the artist" and "only" completely, and simply leave it "because the work is part of the fun". Well, whatever you feel comfortable with, as long as it flows.

For me, art comes from the soul, as you've said and it embodies the deepest of your emotions: the things you don't speak about or show. True artists express their beliefs and emotions in their pieces-it's something they value, not moulded for anybody else.

i think art is a way for people to express themselves. To show something they may not be willing to say out loud or to admit. Art can be a way to let go of what holds you back. I don't think any one person can decide what is art and what's not. Art is something an individual creates to express an emotion, scenario, beauty, or anything. Art is unique and shows the world a piece of the creator. Art is wonderful and beautiful. Without Art earth just spells Eh
