YAY first photo here on deviantart from my Archbishop.Goodness I had so much troubles with it. I tried to hard to make the skirt STAND and it worked....then when I packed out the costume from my suitcase all the volume was GONE and it was not standing away anymore '_'....that is really depressing *sad*
It still has some errors and missing parts. I'll work hard on it to make it better for the next con!
Well still I had a really nice day as a guest of honor in Spain for Japan Weekend Madrid <3! I wore this costume together with =Elffi as Shura
It was crazily COLD and WINDY ;O; but our photographer Taichia tried her best to get some photos out of the super gray and cloudy day.

Even if the skirt isn't the way you wanted it, it's still a hugely stunning picture, particularly with the unusual camera angle which takes a bit of looking at before we're entirely certain that you're not doing a suspension!
I don't know if this would work for the character, but have you considered making a wire frame (an armature) to support the skirt?

Oh I made a construction out of very thick interfacing. I still wnated that teh skirt is moving normally and that it is not totally stiff :<

Ok, a normal wire armature clearly won't work if you want some natural bounce and float in the skirt.
What about what we British call a "curtain spring"; the sort of thing that is normally used to support net gauze curtains.
As an aside, my German is not very good, but if you want to use a German term, particularly a portmanteau word, that means exactly what you want I should be able to translate it myself.

Definitely you have the ideal face to represent beautiful characters. And quality of the clothing is always excellent. I hope someday you design a Royal Guard (RO character like this Archbishop)
