Description
Mr. Potoo used to pretend to be a bump on a log when the Owls flew by - but in time he learned they were as friendly as other folk.The Owls, well - they learned that the stump they flew past on Tuesdays had a bigger personality than they'd bargained for.

I had no idea such a bird existed until just today. This painting is ridiculously awesome! Haha, I love his expression and the expressions on all the owls around him! You have such a unique style! It's really fun to explore. I feel like all of your pieces have a story to tell.

Initially, my brain read Mr. Potoo as "Mr. Potato". What a weird yet funny name that'd be! Definitely when it's really late (or incredibly early in the morning), my brain interprets things weirdly.
I think of this as some sort of motivational piece--to be free to be yourself and be silly. The way I relate to it, my reaction would Mr. Potoo's (if I'm correct) when I laugh at my own jokes and sense of humor, and the owls would be representing the reactions of others aside from myself.
Anyhow, that's what I saw in this. I'm definitely getting a kick out of that bird's expression. It's priceless
