Definitely the most proud of this redesign so far! Armor used to be such a bother for me to draw, but I think I like it now, even though I should practice it more so they don't all look the same . Here is the previous version, for reference again. What was that armor?! It kind of looks like poor Gala fell into the can opener. I'll be honest... I still don't know if I'm feeling this colors combination. Maybe if I draw him more it'll look more natural? Let's see if I'll end up changing them again lol. The only thing I really regret was not putting an "unmasked" ref in this image. Oh well, I'll draw him without it eventually.

BTW I have not played Kirby Star Allies yet . As a huge Kirby fan I'm ashamed lol. I do know Galacta is in that game though so I'd appreciate it if no one here spoils it or points out my mistake in the canon or something because I wouldn't know. I'm just going to keep my excuse that gijinka lore is different than canon lore haha. And I know the theory of Galacta Knight being Kirby from the future makes no canon sense, but tbh I still love that theory and am keeping it still. However if there's anything from the newer games that I should know, I'll try to fit it in somehow once I learn it.

Galacta Knight, originally known as Kirby, was an immensely powerful Star Warrior whose power was so great that he could destroy planets with a single blast. He originally trained alongside Meta Knight for hundreds of years, until he felt that it was all a ruse intended to keep him from reaching his full potential. In a fit of rage, he broke off the Northern tip of Popstar and flew off into space, where he planned to summon Galactic NOVA and make a wish to become even more powerful. However, Meta Knight followed him, and alongside NOVA, sealed him away in crystal to stop him from (basically causing the apocalypse) granting his desire. He remained with NOVA in his crystal prison.

However, in a different timeline, Meta Knight (during the events of Super Star Ultra) approached Galactic NOVA requesting to fight the most powerful warrior in the galaxy. NOVA, existing in a plane beyond space and time, released Galacta Knight to fulfill Meta's wish, causing Galacta to enter Meta's timeline, where he now exists outside his prison.
