AAnd concluding the Cast o' Chars countdown (Such an annoying application of alliteration, eh?) we now come down to Our HEroes. Got to say, I'm loving your takes on the chars. And now onto the finer details and endless questions therein!
Okay, first up what comes to mind is Sonic; views fighting as a contest rather then a life or death strugge? Wow, but that is distressing. True the guy HAS saved the planet over and over and is pretty much the defining factor against stopping Robotnik (Till the whole Helios ordeal), but still... its kind of scary. Makes sense why Tails might chafe just a wee bit under this guy's shadow; for one normally so serious, this must ammount to some minor form of torture. But hey, so long as bqdniks get smashed and Eggman get beaten back, its all good no?
So, Tails controls the moleculer structure of his tails? That DOES explain how he's able use them as a weapon, I've got to admit; what are teh limit of this ability? Converely, what ele CAN he accomplih through thi power? I find it interesting to note your usage of his comic-parents; I take it they'll replace the couple mentioned in the original bio write up you did for him?
Soo, Cream has befriended cheese at this stage? Does that mean everyone else can see the little abomination against nature?
AAnd finally King Acorn; guy seems to suffer from "Chronic Inflated Sense of Self Importance". You'd think experiance from the Great War and the subsequent Betrayel by Robtnik would have taught him something about humility... then again, being stuck in a hellish zone, constantly being tormented by a deranged hobgoblin, MIGHT affect one's reasoning just a wee bit. And to see where it all lead up to was simply saddening, after all that effort his kid and the freedom fighters went through to get him back. Talk about ungrateful.
So pretty much, nicely done; you got this weird power to speak volumes with only a few sentances, and adding all the little details was a nice touch as well. Oke doke, I'm done now, I'll be out of your life till the next bit of art submitted.
or WILL I?

Well, first: Sonic has always been a rather "easy going, adventure loving guy." He never gets particularly worked up about things, whether they go badly or very well, he keeps his cool. At the same time, shouldn't he have just killed Robotnik already? One could argue that he's had many chances, but that it just isn't in his nature. By the start of COA:ACO, Tails is getting a little tired of basically the same fights over and over again, but he also understands Sonic's nature, and don't hold it against him. If Sonic used his power to speed around, killing enemies outright, then he wouldn't be the great hero he is, and the world does need a hero. This only means that its up to those who aren't famous heroes to finish the job.
Tails' tails ability comes from tyring to find a reason why he can apparently fly using them (impossible if they were round fluffy tails, no matter how fast they are spun), and how in Sonic games (S3, S3K, SA, etc) he can also damage enemies with them. In COA, he uses his natural Chaos abilities to do to his tails what Sonic does to his spines - he makes them flatter, harder, sharper. As is pointed out in the narrative early on (Chapter 3 I think), he basically turns his tails into nearly indestructible helicopter blades. This both allows him to fly, and attack, and also defend himself (though in Chapter 5, he notes that they can be shot through). This defense is akin to Sonic's "double jump flash" that provides an instant of invulnerability, except it lasts longer, but had a limited range of protection. As for Mary and Amadeus, they do not replace Tails' kitsune parents. But they are in the story now for a good reason.... you'll see why in time.
Cream and Cheese are together in COA:ACO. Chao are still what they are in COA:NWO, but no one knows this.
King Acorn... well, he sees his legacy, and the legacy of 800 years, in peril. The monarchy is getting weaker. Sally is obviously a somewhat weak ruler (in that she isn't authoritarian at all), and one who will cede royal authority that will be hard to impossible to get back. Max is an absolute monarch who truly believes that "L'Γtat, c'est moi" ("I am the State"), and that his family has a divine right embodied by their personal connection to the Source of All (which Sally openly and rightly distrusts). You don't expect him to just roll over and watch everything his people fought for dissolve? And he's right in a way, too. Without a strong central authority, the Kingdom will start to fall apart - too many regions are too independent minded now, thanks to their efforts fighting Robotnik. Even with a clear head, which Max doesn't have, its no surprise that he wants to do what he can to preserve the way of life he knows and loves.

Too true, with Sonic. Would not have him any other way, even though it can get kind of exasperating. Then again, it is one thing to destroy a robotic drone; its another thing to kill living creature. Even if said creature IS perhaps the worst thing to hit mobius in a long long time.
Oop! Sorry, I mispoke here; I was referring to the couple you mentioned in Tails backstory at some point, the ones who took him in before the battlebird incident. I meant, were Amadeus and Rosemary to replace THOSE parents, not his kitsune folks. THat'd just throw things into such chaos that I cannot even begin to imagine.
The thinking of a Monarch, and I realize he's only doing what he believes to be right; intellectually I realize I should not judge. Emotionally thought... this doesn't change him being a bit of prick, in my eyes. Ironic, if he'd not done the whole Iron King bit, history might've looked on him with a wee bit of favor.
