There's not as much focus going on here, but more of a whole bunch of filtering and effects,
still, it's pretty much really close to the original colors!

well i suppose it could be the orange in contrast to the blue, but the structure itself has a solid look while the passersby and scenery ar ejust passing by ahaha.

I adore the different light temperatures...the warmth of the light through the 'windows' (I know they aren't window, but I don't know what they are) and the coldness of the night sky. It's something I keep seeing lately, mostly in movies, and I love it.

Thanks!
And speaking of movies, I love you new avvy!
There's something a bit Bond girlish/60s about it that makes me want to have a martini.

One of these days I'll get my hands on a decent camera and actually learn how to use it,
then we'll see what happens!
Thanks!

All of the ancient Roman structures were amazing.
That they are in ruins is not due to the ravages of time,
but due to the canabolizing of the stone for other structures.

The Colloseum and the Forums were utterly amazing.
To walk on the same stones and stand in the same places where Ceasar walked,
and to lay hands on the bits of ruin laying here and there - just uncanny.
We found we were doing that a lot - touching anything ancient that we could.
The feel of the old stone is like silk!

My friend, who showed us around, would point to a building and say:
"This is one of our newer buildings - it's only 450 years old!"

We went early on in our trip when we went into for the day Rome while staying in Orvieto.
Then we went there at night while staying in Rome on our last couple days.
Amazing place for sure!
