Description True story...

This is the living room of a place I actually lived in back in 1982-84 in Elmira, NY.
That door to the left leads to the dining room and kitchen.
Well, the wooden floor at that door was very warped. To the point of being unable to close the door all the way.
The door would jam up on the floor tight, and would remain open about a foot. Wouldn't budge.
One night,
five of us were sitting around the living room when we saw the door swing open then close by itself.
All the way closed. (but not latching)
It did it a couple times, then stopped.
We all looked at each other and said "Did you see that?"
We'd all seen it. We couldn't believe that we'd all seen it. We went to the door to check it out.
Floor still warped, and door still jamming up on the floor and not closing.
True story.

EDIT:
I forgot to mention that we all felt strange vibes at the top of those stairs
all the time. Never thought twice about it, really, until the door closed!

The house was built in 1890, a half block away from the notorious Elmira Civil War POW camp.

EDIT - 5/21/17
I didn't remember until this morning that it was this house where I found the book "Error's Chains"

The good news is, we've determined what they feed on. The bad news is...

Don't bother calling Father Kwasniewski for an exorcism. I have the number of a reliable -- and discrete -- arsonist.

Wait, that story is true? As in, excepting the eldritch arachnid in the pit there, all the other spirit stuff actually happened in that house?

Wow. In that case, I myself have witnessed some "strange" events, though I must admit that I'm still of a more "empirical" mindset. If you're interested, I wouldn't mind telling you!

Even with my art skills? I mean, I'm good (and I'm being generous to myself here, which is a rare thing in its own way), but I'm not one of the greats....

Well, see, there's you problem...
One of your roommates flushed a spider and a dead Venus flytrap down the toilet.
it was bound to happen.
Just be lucky it wasn't a dead pitcher plant, those have been know to swallow whole city blocks.

(And more importantly, they'll refuse to return your deposit.)

That's cheap!
(compared to here.)
a two story like that? easily 800k to 1.2 mil here.
(Even with the lock down, house prices have only dropped  35-50k here).

That story though Creeeepy
I know that when a window randomly opens in our classroom we'd all go like ''OH NO IT'S A GHOST!'' The spider reminds me of a dead bat I found on a lamp, and all sorts of weird bugs keep getting into the science lab.......

Did you ever catch the pilot episode of "The Muppet Show", the infamous "The End Of Sex and Violence on Television"? I finally did on DVD. There is something about this scene that reminds me of a scene from that show.
