Inspired by a ladybird landing on me. I know she's rather on the large side but I needed her to be rotund because that's what shape ladybirds are. A skinny ladybird would look weird, I think. I also wanted her to look sort of upper class. Someone that people would notice coming into the ballroom of a rich party. That's the scene I imagine her in anyway.I really enjoyed doing this. Sometimes, the whole picture is a real effort and struggle but this one happened almost by itself. Everything just flowed from my fingers. I love how her eyes came out, too. Actually, I like her whole head area.
Ladybirds are cool insects.

I like your choice of indigo hair and eyes. It's not a color people would normally associate with ladybugs, but it works very well with the red wing-covers.
The dress is pretty neat too- but that fringe must have taken for-freakin'-ever.

I didn't want to give her just plain black hair. I thought the indigo would give her a bit more life. I can't remember if the fringe took that long... but it probably did.

I love ladybugs! ^__^ They're such cool little guys, aren't they? Last month, my class went on a beach clean-up trip...my friends and I found lots of them in the dune grass. I had three of them crawling around on my arm.
Anyways, I really love how you drew her! She's adorable, and the coloring is so soft and warm. Quite fitting.

Ah, she's so adorable. I love her plump little face, and the subtle design on her wings. Her eyes are really great, so dark and shiny. This is just about the sweetest deviation I've ever seen. Plus, my mother always used to call me "Ladybug," so I have to love it

LOL I don't like ladybugs becuse during a serton time of the year tousends of them come into our use and gater around the windows and crawl up the walls and stuff. There cute to see them on a leaf outside. But ahh! So many of them in the huose! >_<;
