You know, introverts always get the short end of the stick in many stories,
as they're usually potrayed as some kind of jerk who just doesn't want to get along,
and at the end, they learn to "fit in", which just ends up as a disturbing and forced personality change.

Just an idea. Instead of unstructured interaction (aka small talk). Try structured interaction, like playing a cooperative game or watching a movie. Doing a project together might also work.
That way the introvert does not enter the overthinking phase (which is what draw the energy).
And the extrovert does not enter the "what is wrong" phase which happen when they do not receive the expected input.
With structure everyone knows what to do and how to behave in the situation. No worries of being overwhelming or underwhelming. Eventually both get to know each other, so interaction becomes natural.

once again, not trying to be a hater, just an atheist and she keeps trying to "save my soul" and bullshit like that. pisses me off. i don't try to convince her that god ain't real, but she keeps trying to get me to think that ass is. sure i acknowledge Jesus as a person who existed, but the bible wasn't written until a few centuries AFTER that guy was executed by the Romans. so that whole "resurrected from the dead three days later" schpeal can be debated. but i admit he was a good hobo (yes Jesus was a vagrant). one who spoke to the hearts of the people he met, yes, but he was human and nothing more. i just hate it when people force on to others things like Religion or ideologies, as its the source of a lot of wars and killed millions over the centuries. millions have died in the name of "god". thousands have died in the name of "freedom" millions still have died in the name of "PROGRESS" of all things. it pisses me off how pathetic we humans can be, killing each other for things that are, as far as the universe and everything else is concerned, bullshit. it makes me embarrassed to be human.
