I think i just noticed that Corelle's speech bubbles are all lower cased and everyone else has all capital letters....

For some reason I've been reading the little girls voice as Emily Elizabeth's, from Clifford the big red dog, voice...

Great depiction of a rather complex multi-person conversation. You keep it clear AND visually interesting. Hats off.

Hey there he is! The last time we saw Mr. Mercier was in the prologue.

Yep! He's hugely important to the story. He plays a massive role through the entire thing.

oh ok, I was wondering how big of a role he would play in this....
he seems like a nice guy, I just hope he doesn't turn out to be a bad guy or something.......

Well, everyone in the main cast is a "bad guy" in the classical sense. We even have a team of "good guys" who we meet later on. A big part of SE is showing how, in many stories, the villains are oftentimes more organized and have a stronger set of moral than the heroes.

Look at Star Wars.
The Empire as a stable organized economy with high employment rates led by an elected council governed by a long-lasting respected emperor who, as far as we can tell, has organized most of the known galaxy with business (Tattooine). Sure, there's the whole blowing up a planet bit but nobody's perfect.
Then a small number of terrorists who hate the empire for vague, undefined reasons go on suicide missions and blow up up what is essentially two thriving cities, becoming responsible of the deaths of untold hundreds of thousands of men, women, and children, crashing the main source of universal stability to the ground and leaving a huge economic vacuum in their wake. Congrats, guys.
Honestly, Star Trek is one of the very few big name stories that takes the side of the standard "bad guys" that I know of.
Think about it: a very organized military with an installed code of law and ethics whose main purpose is to install a universal business trade and contact with as many different societies and cultures as possible, creating colonies, staking claims on planets, and leaving potentially corrupting influence on virgin societies. You could say that it bears a strong resemblance to the British and Spanish empires.
It would be SO EASY to make Star Fleet the villains, but the shows are smart enough to know that they're not.

With the last two pages Corelle looks a lot more mature than before. I mean, her physics hasn't changed really, apart from the obvious arms and now frustrated facial expressions. I can't really pinpoint what it is that's changed, but you've done your magic again, and now she really looks like a young woman who has gone through some shit quite recently, but is on the way with dealing all that. How do you do that?!?? : D Great pages, as always. : )
If I had to nitpick though, Madeline's mouth in panel 3 looks a bit weird. Comparing it to her kids mouth in the next panel, it's just a bit too much plain white, no teeth or other detail, you know? But that's just my opinion though, and only a minor detail. : )

Her cheeks have receded to show weight loss from heavy physical therapy and her eyes are more almond than squarish. Kids have big open eyes, adults not so much. She's also posed more assertively rather than shrinking in anxiety.
Thank you!!!!!
Yeah, I redrew Madeline there about ten times and this was the closest I could get to the maniacal extroverted irritation I wanted. I wanted her to looks sort of intimidating since she's the kind of person who would grate on a shy autistic like Corelle.
I'm still not happy with it.

Okay, I see. I just didn't connect Madeline's expression with your intent, I think her soft expression in the next panel threw me off. But now I get where you're going with that. I guess that would be a very hard expression to draw, especially for it to be very easy to read for the reader.
I was just talking about SE to a friend (she wanted some new comic recommendations), I told her that apart from the really good story and realistic, intriguing characters, I really love that SE is not perfect. That you have to courage to post it here while it's still in progress. It's so cool to see it getting better page by page. I think that even among DA you're very open about the whole making process, it's really refreshing and makes me appreciate SE so much more. ^_^
I have no doubts that someday you're going to get Madeline's expression just right! ; )

Eugene actually ends up being a pivitol character in the story. He's kinda the Don Corleone of the story (making Quen the Tom Hagen of sorts)

So this guy is the boss of the bosses?! Well, Corleone also looks a bit alike uncle- guy. Well... I rather thought there are rather engineering guilds, alike different corporation. Not that they are a parts of bigger one.
