Update 13th May 2022: Finally making a retcon (retroactive continuity) for Kasai in his bio; in this new retcon, Kasai didn't really participated in the Battle of Scarif, but Kasai participated in the Mission to Eadu. I tried to do so because it's kinda nonsense to see if Kasai seemed to be the only survivor of Battle of Scarif, so I did rather put Kasai being part in the space fight outside Scarif, alongside the Ghost Crews

I accidentally found this Chirrut Imwe as a Jedi Master AU art yesterday (aka if Chirrut Imwe survived in Rogue One), and knowing that this picture was released 5 years ago and it kinda looks like the concept for my OC Kasai Imwe (especially for the colour and design), I think I should acknowledge this art here. Update 3rd October 2022: While I've stated that would have a relationship with Sabine Wren, perhaps, I would have to make Kasai's son, Fai Wren (a Padawan to Luke Skywalker) (link here) , being not included in this story for some reasons, considering many fans hate the Sequel Trilogy movies, and I totally realized the same thing. but somehow, some of the stories in which Kasai Imwe became the leader of Clan Vizsla, will be considered canon in both Sequel era and alternate future timeline (under the name 'Mandalore the Faithful').]

Meet Kasai Imwe, my first ever Star Wars Mando OC!

This one is loosely based on my Marvel OC Kyofu (Tozen Hokoshi), and now that my full fandom universe OCs list has been completed after creating Patton Ramzi, Midrab (Tristan Farooq), Yako-sei, and Kyofu.

For his backstory... I dunno. I knew very little about Star Wars universe, but I recently watched Rogue One and the Mandalorian, and I tried to watch the rest of Star Wars movies again.

First, I would like to mix several Kungfu (or Kung Fu), Wuxia, and Xianxia references in this OC. I mean, look, Mortal Kombat has Shaolin Monks (and White Lotus Society). MK also includes Lin Kuei assassins, so why not Star Wars?

Plus, in this concept, I borrowed some elements from xHybridus's take on Lan Wangji if he appeared in Star Wars (thanks, xHybridus ), I actually loved Chirrut Imwe's either Chinese or Tibetan Monk influences there ( if it's gonna be a Samurai thing, then it's Japanese Sohei warrior...or else, Chirrut's suit actually resembles those of kesa / kasaya, a Buddhist clerical garment or, well, Hanfu suit or dress or garments ) : www.deviantart.com/xhybridus/a…

When I designed the suit for Kasai Imwe (for Kasai Imwe final suit design, of course), I also use some inspirations from the designs of Chirrut Imwe if he was in Overwatch via Tumblr: triplestardraw.tumblr.com/post…

Last but not least, I gave Kasai two different weapons: Lightsaber and a blaster pistol. Why? Because when I created this guy, I already kept thinking about Star Wars if they have their own version of Nathan Drake from Uncharted video game series. I accidentally made Kasai looks like Darth Revan, somehow.

I dunno, maybe I will do a medieval AU (alternate universe) version of my original character Kasai Imwe, inspired by Olde Republic works by Jake Bartok (in this case, the Mandalorians were inspired by Vikings). Ah, that good old days.

Bio :
Kasai Imwe (native: Kasai Îmwe) was said to be the younger brother of Chirrut Imwe (native: Chirrut Îmwe), one of the Guardians of the Whills (also known as the Guardians of the Kyber Temple, this religious order existed many years before the Invasion of Naboo, thus separating itself from the Jedi Order). Kasai Imwe lived with Commander Feng (CT-3945), the Force Sensitive ARC (Advanced Recon Commando) Clone Assassin Trooper, who led the 963rd Jedha Division once during the Clone Wars, and was eventually feared due to Commander Feng's thievery skills. When Kasai was a child, he was approached by a mysterious Jedi who survived the Great Jedi Purge (Order 66) named Obi-Wan Kenobi (also known as Ben Kenobi). Kasai was told by Obi-Wan about the legends of Tarre Vizsla, the first Mandalorian to have been inducted into the Jedi Order and a respected former leader of the Mandalore (known by title Mand'alor).When Kasai has reached his young adulthood, Kasai decided to left Jedha for Mandalore. Before, Commander Feng told Kasai that Kasai would join Clan Vizsla in order to infiltrate House Vizsla and gaining an ally for the Rebels.

In order to struggle for his life, Kasai went through harsh lives. Wise, charismatic, rebellious, yet temperament, he was known for his thievery skills and weaponry, but little did he know that he was actually had a connection with the Force. During the Era of the Galactic Empire (also known as the Imperial Era), Kasai decided to use his skills as both thief and explorer to help the Rebels gained its victory. In his never ending journey, Kasai has made many friends with several Jedi Knights, especially Ezra Bridger and Kanan Jarrus (born Caleb Dume). From them, Kasai started learning how to control the power of the Force.

In 0 BBY, Kasai decided to go back to his homeland Jedha (especially for a secret mission to Jedha), only to find out that the Stormtroopers who occupied Jedha became more aggressive than before (especially to the Pilgrims who frequently visited Jedha). Due to this, he met Saw Gerrera and he agreed to join a group of Saw's Insurgent (named Partisans), where he reunited with his older brother, Chirrut Imwe. Kasai also achieved his Jedi Knighthood, thanks to the help of Commander Feng. Kasai was glad he was finally with Chirrut, especially when Kasai and Chirrut fought together during a Mission to Eadu. However, it all changed when during the Battle of Scarif, Kasai heard about Chirrut's sacrifice and realized that Chirrut eventually died alongside his associate, Baze Malbus, in Scarif. Kasai himself was with the rest of the Ghost Crews outside Scarif when the Battle of Scarif happened.

After the Battle of Scarif (and also during the Age of Rebellion and Galactic Civil War), Kasai grew a more hatred feeling on the Galactic Empire and Darth Gan (link here) (something that he thought they were responsible for Chirrut's death and the destruction of Jedha City due to the Death Star test), but still kept his pacifist beliefs, and Kasai had a problem with the Partisan as Kasai nearly disagreed with Partisan's brutal methods. Kasai's further mission eventually led him with an introduction to a Young Jedi (who is none other than the son of Anakin Skywalker aka Darth Vader), Luke Skywalker.

Prior to the Battle of Endor, Kasai assembled his own private Rebel militia made up of soldiers and mercenaries. Kasai trained them, taught them the Imperial Army's tricks, and how to adapt. He even trained some in martial arts and the weaknesses of the Stormtroopers. In this case, Kasai hired Commander Feng as his back up commander and the consultant of the militia.

Kasai is now currently having a crush with Sabine Wren. Kasai also befriends with the former member of Chiss Ascendancy (originated from Csilla, Unknown Regions), who is also a former Death Trooper and currently a Jedi Commander named Mitth'osova'nuruodo, who is also known in his Core Name as Thosovan (link here).

Kasai Imwe would finally led Clan Vizsla, despite Kasai faced several issues with the member of the Tribe and also the Children of the Watch, Paz Vizsla, who was the descendant of Tarre Vizsla. Henceforth, he decided to drop his Clan Leader title for someone else, but Kasai was still honored as the Jedi Lord of Clan Vizsla, having given the title of Lord Kasai or Lord Vizsla, depending on the context. But for Kasai himself, he was simply called Master Kasai. Kasai would finally stated his Clan's pacifism for the Darksaber Problems between Bo-Katan Kryze and Din Djarin, while Kasai would double as the Jedi General of both New Republic Army and the New Republic Army Special Forces (formerly Rebel Alliance Special Force). Kasai would be also responsible for the restoration of the fallen Guardians of the Whills sect, and Kasai was remembered as the Grandmaster of the Guardians of the Whills. Attributes and Equipments :

1. Mandalorian Beskar Armour: The Mandalorian's special armor, which was worn beneath Kasai's cloth / tunic / robes. Some of the robes that Kasai Imwe wears to cover his Beskar Armor is actually the additional robes that Kasai wore in the past (when Kasai was still part of the Guardians of the Whills) (link here) ; after he fled from Jedha and was later raised by Clan Vizsla, Kasai decided to adopt some of the Mandalorian cultures (especially the armour), and decided to redefined and refurbished these robes to match his Beskar armour. The armour and the suit actually resembled the look of Commander Feng (CT-3945), who happened to be the Grand Army of the Republic (GAR) clone trooper leader of the mysterious 963rd Jedha Clone Division (link here) (with his squad named as Jedha Crusaders) and also a close friend to Captain Rex (CT-7567) of 501st Legion, Commander Cody (CC-2224) of 7th Sky Corps and 212th Attack Battalion, and Obi-Wan Kenobi. Commander Feng was a father figure and mentor to Kasai, much as Jango Fett to Boba Fett. (link here)
