And because I seem to always be late to the party with amazing animated series that died way before their prime, here’s some fanart of the main four of Thundercats (I left out Wilykit, Wilycat and Snarf because they were just token cute characters… Same as they were in the old series).

challenged me to start drawing my characters with more subtle facial expressions, because I’m pretty good with extremes like SUPERANGRY and REALLYSAD, but never seem to just draw stuff in quieter moments. And so here’s my attempt!

Lion-O’s worried and pensive about the fate of his team and his duty (also, that thing that happened in “Trials of Lion-O”… No spoilers), Tygra’s flirting with Cheetara, Cheetera’s greeting his flirtations with amused sarcasm and Panthro’s being his usual grumpy self. I find it weird that I seem to gravitate towards every character voiced by Kevin Michael Richardson, he does grumpy like nobody else can!

I know I normally submit these to my scraps gallery, but I'm really proud of this one!
