Woah!
What you method to capture lightings?

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

CapturingTheNight In reply to Ksantor [2011-11-08 19:08:36 +0000 UTC]

Thanks Low ISO, Mid to small aperture, long as possible shutter speed without overexposing the sceen (up to 30 seconds), then just shoot lots and lots of continuous frames and hopefully you will get a strike or two. I took probably about 200 images for these two strikes. Camera settings will depend on how much ambient light there is in your field of view and how close/bright the lightning is.........oh and make sure you are safe.

Quite a nice shot for a 2 seconds exposure! It must have been quite a light show!

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

CapturingTheNight In reply to sicmentale [2011-11-07 19:26:25 +0000 UTC]

Thank you very much Myriam Yes I got very lucky with the 2 second exposure on this. It was still too light to go longer exposures. I missed a few inbetween frames, which was a bit disappointing.

Certainly no shortage of weather around the state! Just been a little too distant for shooting at the moment. I'm sure we'll get our dose soon enough
