Description
A master copy of Eugene Delacroix' "Jaguar Attacking a Horseman". I love how dynamic the piece is and how, even though a lot of it is stylized and rough, it all makes sense and feels right. It's practically impossible to emulate oils in Photoshop, so I didn't try. I just tried to follow his brush strokes and learn from his composition, light and color use
.I've saved the steps for this, once I have the time I'll put them together. Might still polish this as well here and there later on, but for now I'm calling it done as it is.
No tracing, no color picker, as explained in the tutorial:

You can always make or find brushes that do a good job of emulating oils, though of course it's not necessary to get the medium looking right when you're doing a master study. But they're fun to incorporate. Regardless, you did a fantastic job nailing down the style of the painting without them.
