You know what makes me flinch? How amazing this is..and how this was 6 years ago. I wish I had saved some of my older stuff, but I think I threw it all away. 
Anyway, this is really cool stuff. I like the pose a lot...it feels a lot like something right out of DnD or MtG.

I can empathize with the cringing at older work. I just went through my sketchbook (over 10 years old oO; ) and uploaded some of the stuff I still liked just so my gallery wouldn't feel so empty. However, unlike me you have nothing to be ashamed about; the level of detail and the shading are marvelous! I love the sneaky little grin on his face! ^^

Looks awsome, I love the shading and detail put into it's perch. Kinda looks like he's got a mischevious grin to him hehe. The skin around the torso area looks in access I've never quite seen that before. I like the way it looks though, you've gotta lover older stuff. really makes ya think about how you've progressed, good show. +fav

Sorry, I don't think any of your work is crappy. In fact, I'd love to see more of your older work, even if it's just sketches or stupid assignments from basic artist anatomy classes in college. I think it's inspirational to be able to track your progress.
