Who's the odd one out? Konan, Greed, Levy McGarden, Tenzin
Naruto, Full Metal Alchemist, Fairy Tail, Avatar: Legend of Korra
I picked the characters by random by who was easiest to draw, so it'd be interesting to see what you all think!
For me, I think Levy's the odd one out. She's the bookish type whereas the rest can hold their own in a firefight.
Yay, new painting style! And also trying to get a hold of the Chibi style.
I've also gotten over my obsession to "draw the characters in the style of the original artist before I think they look nice". Now I'm just drawing them anyway I like. As long as the hair and costumes match, of course!These 4 were taken from my sketchdump: [link]

Not bad. Some of the poses seem a little static to me but you're coloring style and the way your portray characters via anime style is quite good! Tenzin is my personal favorite in this, and out of all of them I'd see he looks the best.
I'd experiment more with lines of action, if you are familiar with them. Practicing that will help you to create more fluid and natural poses.

thank you! I'm actually quite afraid of postures haha, I haven't had much luck in drawing anything other than frontal flat perspective, so having dynamic character poses does all kinds of whack to my ability to draw.
Out of curiosity, would you recommend copying/tracing reference postures, or doing 5 minute flash cards on posture drawing instead? Or work from action lines and circles?

I would recommend drawing, not tracing, lots of different dynamic poses and postures. Tracing doesn't really help so much. Drawing it for extended periods of times will help you remember it for later.
On the flip side, sketching out some action lines will also probably prove to be extremely helpful. But in the end it's all up to you.

Yes, the nose! I tried drawing him without a nose and it was bad! The moustache needs a nose to anchor it down, otherwise it just looks weird haha!

The way you drew them is very good as well! It's difficult to draw a chibi without a nose and make it look good! Nice work!

Thank you very much for your comments! I basically picked colors from the full hue range that seemed to give the biggest contrast and make the character 'pop', so to speak.

she is kinda like wendy... they do more helping magic then fighting but they can fight!

I wish we'd see more of her magic in action. I only remember her using it on Tenrou Island to help Gajeel and defeat Cain (with Cana and lisanna)
