Description BatB stands for Beauty and the Beast. (Stupid deviation titles are too short!!)

And what you see here is my rendition of the Enchantress. I based this design on her look in the stained glass windows in the first movie. In the sequel called The Enchanted Christmas, the Enchantress made an appearance as well, in a flashback. Her look there was... quite strict and evil. She had lost her green dress as well as her curls and I thought she looked... a bit scary. I prefered her design in the stained glass windows.

I drew this fanart because I felt a need to envision the Enchantress a bit clearer before I started writing about her in my fanfic Gifts and Curses. It's a Beauty and the Beast fanfic which has a lot to do with Belle and Beast, obviously, but I consider every important character in the movie important to my own plot as well so I try to give them some thought and the best way to do that (for me) is to draw them.

I will also move this drawing to my Gifts and Curses folder on DA. If you want to read the fanfic, go here: [link]

Wish we saw her in the movie, in an actual appearance aside from a stained glass version.

Personally I prefer the enchanted Christmas design. She looks too much like Aurora in an overdone green dress and standard crown. I think that's why they changed the design was so Aurora wouldn't get confused with her.  I do like the stained glass look of the narration but they shouldn't have recycled Aurora's design.

Awesome! Would you mind if I colored it?

Not this one please. I already did a coloured version myself and would rather not have any others color it.

Yeah but the Enchantress from BatB2 looked nothing like the stain glass window person you see in the first movie. This design is based on the design of the Enchantress in the stained glass.

I didn't really like the Enchantress in BatB2.

I always appreciate a nice asymmetrical character design like this one. The design is nice and clean, without too many distracting details, but just enough to make it look appealing. I also like what you did with the hands, gives it a more natural feel.

It's been too long since I actually saw Beauty and the Beast, so I have no idea what the original character looks like, which is unnecessary in this case.

The original character only appeared in the stained glass windows. In two shots. So there's basically very little to base her on, lol. But she's really pretty, I think. ^^
