I took this a few weeks ago and forgot to upload it!Taken in the dark with flash to capture some eye dilation.
Tiramisu is all, "Huh what! I wasn't stealing your pencils. And I absolutely was NOT practicing to be your new favorite like Taquito. I swear. I just like writing utensils. Go away."
Tiramisu is one of my hatchlings ^__^ Hatched out on August 29th.

He looks almost exactly like our smallest gecko, but ours has an almost solid yellow tail. Very cute.

I love critters with dilated pupils. They're so cute! Must be some kind of defense mechanism.

I don't know about defense - just defense against tripping on stuff in the dark I suppose. Like with human eyes, their eyes constrict in the light and dilate in the dark. This pic was taken in the dark

You know, defense against predators. They sneak up on the unsuspecting gecko and then at the last possible moment they see the dilated pupils and they think, "Awwwwwww. . . it's too CUTE to eat"!

I totally love looking at these photos for the sheer delight that they are cresties! You don't see many pictures of them, I've looked. I have a 2 month old and he/she has markings just like your Tiramisu. The only difference I can see between them, is that mine has some dalmatian spotting. But what really amazes me is how you get these awesome detailed pictures of them! I can't do it! Lol! I've tried, my baby just won't hold still long enough! So anyways, friggen awesome pics!

Okay. I was thinking, I know she's not letting them run loose, as tiny as they are!!
I'm still working on getting Monty (My water dragon) used to me. He is kinda weird. Like, when I go to pick him up, he freaks, but not as much as he used to. He will tense up, and sometimes scurry if i am moving too fast. But once I get him in my hand, he calms down and just sits there. (Scared to death, I'm sure!) But then, when I go to put him back in his cage, he always tries to run up my arm!! I have to take him off my hand and place him back in it.

Yyyyeah, I have cats. The geckos don't spend time running around anywhere but in their cage. Any other time, I'm monitoring what they're doing.
