Description It's done! I have officially finished my Phantom of the Opera-drawing. It would've been finished a lot earlier if it hadn't been for school and work, but anyhow; here it is!!

This truly proves that I love my tablet. I could not have created something like this with a mouse (well, I haven't actually tried, but I know that I would've lost interest pretty quickly).

Comments (and favs ) and any kind of feedback is HIGHLY appreciated!!! (seriously!)

Facts
Time used: Many, many, many hours.. in the beginning I sat for at least 5 hours a day (for as many as 4 or 5 days in a row), finishing one part after another.
Tools: PhotoShop CS2, picture of Phantom found on the Internet, Wacom-tablet
Easiest part: The background Used a tutorial found somewhere on the Internet..
Hardest part: His scarf! (and also his ear)
Inspiration: Mostly listening to The Phantom of the Opera soundtrack (and then especially "Music of the Night")

Again; any kind of feedback (both positive and negative!) are highly appreciated!!

Also; full view is best!!

..I seriously can't believe I'm done..

Hi I really like this painting. Would you allow me to possibly use this in a future video. I post my vids at 4 Gerard Butler fansites and You Tube. Let me know what you think. Several artists here have given me consent to use their artwork in a video I am presently working on right now. Thanks so much. Jessie

My favourite part of the drawing has to be the hand. I didn't know you had this much talent dear. Im amazed.
I can see you put an amazing effort into the scarf, and Im glad to say it shows.

And now for the critique.
First off is the hair. It looks good, it goes the right direction etc, but it doesn't look real enough. I think it's because it doesnt have enough highlights in it. I'd try to experiment more with very light and thin strokes to give it that more dept. It's all the same color if you know what I mean.
The one eye is a tiny bit too low but it doesn't bother me.

My one large tip for the next time is the color use. You've done an awesome job on the shadows, and I really mean it. But everything is the same color in different tones, while in real everything reflects, even if just a little.

Also, keep in mind that shadow is never just the same color but in a darker tone. If you put some blue or green mixed with it, you'll notice the entire drawing will look much more alive and real. It might sound weird at first, but if you look at other [good] painting, you'll see what I mean.

If you look at the hand and the reflections found in there, you can see that it looks much much more alive then the rest of the drawing.

You have so much talent dear, and I hope you wont get discouraged in any kind of way by my ideas for next time. Im amazed how much you're progressing in such a small period of time.

I can't wait to see more of your work. Keep it up!

Of course I don't get discouraged by your words! (Don't you ever think that ) I love your honesty, and the way you point out my "mistakes" helps me develop and also try new techniques.

I notice every thing you mention, from the hair to the shadow-part, and I totally agree. I know from earlier experience that I've never been good at drawing realistic hair, but next time (and maybe I'll work further on this one and see how it goes) I will try what you said Same goes for the shadows with mixing blue or green - I've never tried that before, but now I will!

Your critique is the best! Now I know what I have to work on ^^
Thank you dear
