Description So, how many of you have actually watched some old Betty Boop cartoons? We're talking the 1930s, here, people! If you haven't seen any of them, prepare to be weirded out. The stuff they did in those cartoons is CRAZY, and totally featured the music of Cab Calloway. Yes, THAT Cab Calloway.

Examples:
[link] - Cab is a dancing ghost walrus.
[link] - Betty does "Snow White" while Cab sings "St James Infirmary"

Watch the cartoons, and you'll understand why that piano has a face. ._.

I think I saw the walrus one- it's the one with "minnie the moocher" in... surreal.

He is. Is he still around?

Nope, he's a dead man.

Still swings harder than the average guy, though. Ever seen "Blues Brothers"? He led the band in his classic "Minnie The Moocher" song and just ripped it up. Amazing dude.

Cab Calloway reminds me a bit of Skele-T.

Skele-T was probably based partially on Cab. That guy set the standard for black jazz artists, and few have even come close since then.

I can imagine a Skele-T cover of "The Scat Song".

And animation was all crazy all the time. Did you watch the two cartoons I linked to in the comments? If you watch closely, you can totally see that Adventure Time's animation was influenced by these cartoons.
