The main parts, the abdomen and the head, are made out of Sculpey. Once that main portion is put together, I cut a base out of brass, and cut notches for the legs. Then I made templates out of paper for each leg, to make sure that the size was correct. Using those templates, I cut the legs from a thin sheet of brass. After they've been cut, I super-glued them in, and then glued on the gears and wire.
The whole thing took roughly about 50 hours to do. That includes glue drying time and baking time for the Sculpey.

cool piece of work! I love the detail! Although I can't figure out what that round-like protusion is at the front of its head. Is it a horn of some sort?
