Description
This is a little scuplture I did, using brass, wire, sculpy and clock gears. The spider has three keyholes in its abdoman where pocketwatch keys fit.Related content

This is awesome! I'm terrified of spiders (yeah, I know they're not scary or anything. Still can't help it.), but the way that you designed this piece was excellent! How large is the original?

i agree. this is like, the coolest clock thingy ever. i want one, but to be anatomocialy correct, an arachnad has only two body segments. i'm only saying because i LOVE spiders. theres like 10+ in my room hanging from the ceiling and stuff.

With some small motors and simple motor controllers, you can actually get that to move. It shouldn't be terribly difficult. If you want to look into that more, I recommend it. Here is something similar turned into an autonomous robot.

This mechanical spider comes for thee.
Crawling, finding, gears are grinding,
Where it will come from you cannot see.
Just a little something I was inspired to say from this piece. I think it is beautiful, and I hope you will be making more Clockwork Creatures like this, this one is simply too amazing to leave alone.
