This will be featured in Panels On Pages 2012 Fangirl of the Month Calendar.
This is round 1. I had to drastically shift the right side colors down to allow the copy and headline to pop. I may be editing this post and updating the art as I get revisions.

This was tough. Not that I couldn't draw expressions, but emulating similar expressions on these odd characters was difficult. This piece was all about balancing out the secondary characters. Too many of my sketches made these characters look creepy or pathetic. I am glad that they turned out the way you see it because there was a few times Tanya mentioned that they reminded her of creepy old men. I kept one semi-creepy hat character.

They do remind me a bit of creepy old men, but I like that about them. It gives them a distinct feel of "Oh wow! This isn't something we see every day! WOOHOO!"
