To Celebrate the release of Skyward Sword and 25 years of Legend of Zelda games, I bring to you my Zelda-a-Day art project for the month of November (so basically, 30 days of Zelda goondness).Day 4 - Epona

A bit about this piece:
Presenting the single-most AMAZING horse in the history of Hyrule...EVER.
I loved Epona from the moment I set eyes on her in OoT. She was actually the driving force which made me more determined to learn how to play the games years and years ago.
I was 8 at the time OoT came out, so imagine my enthusiasm with having a game where you could actually ride about on a horse!
It was phenomenal in my eyes and still is. Riding Epona remains to be one of my favourite activities to do of all the Zelda games.This is my tribute to the franchise's beloved mare. I hope you all love. :3

Oh my. XD; I hope I haven't tempted you to resume something that has been getting in the way of other things in your life...
Though, in your defense...The Zelda series IS kind of very hard to put down and ignore. XD Just be sure if you do resume gameplay and what not, just be sure to take a LOT of breaks. XD;

XD Yeah...I totally understand for sure. :3 Just got a 3DS recently and OoT for it...Currenly working on the Master Quest of that game, but man...XD I could not put it down...I completed it within a week!

Which Temple, now? Dodogno's Cavern, or the Fire Temple? 'Cause both involve the Gorons. 
I often get stuck in the Water Temple...mostly just because I constantly get lost in there...:/ Normally I'd get stuck in there for about a week, due to the fact that the boot switching got exhausting after a while and I needed to take a lot of breaks, but on the 3DS with that lovely touch screen option, I was able to get through that Temple in a matter of HOURS! I was quite happy. <33 Either way...that Temple is worth it for the Dark Link fight. *nods*
And do you mean Darunia? Aww...XD I like that guy. I wouldn't want him to get eaten, he's awesome. :3 I mean, he even dances for you...which is ALWAYS a great source of amusement. XD Else, I'm not quite sure what you mean by "Darthian." :/

yea i meant darunia >.< and its the fire temple btw dark link is in twilight princess not ocarina of time(already defeated it for n64 like years ago)AND when darunia dances its like gorons gone high LMAO i just love it after he defeats the dodogno's cavern at the end the random goron"Come here let me give you a big goron hug" and link"AHHH!!!" ahh i still laugh to tht at this day

But...Dark Link IS in Ocarina of Time! XD He's the Water Temple's mini boss! It's one of the most heart pounding battles for me in there, and I've played this game multiple times on both N64 and Gamecube years before playing it on the 3DS, so I ought to know...
XD Yeah....that part is always awesome. :3 Though if I were Link...I think I'd run away too...

Nope...:/ See, I don't have a Wii console and when the game first came out it was far too expensive for me to afford for the Gamecube...and now...well...I can' seem to find it for the Gamecube anywhere! And this has been for a number of years. :/ I'm still on the lookout for it to this day. Otherwise, I have seen some of it played thanks to a friend...and I also know the general storyline behind it (I'm sorry...after five years, stumbling across spoilers was just inevitable...XD).
Unfortunately, this is often the way it is for me and Zelda games (and most other video games for that matter). I grew up in a family that was very anti-gaming, so I kind of had to watch a lot of titles from the sidelines for the first little while.
Awww...you don't remember Dark in OoT? D: Well, once you finish the fire Temple, you should be able to see him again soon. :3 Well...after you acquire the Iron Boots and Zora's Tunic of course. XD I personally cannot forget that fight because of how you encounter him...and the fact that he likes to jump on your sword all the time. :iconnotimnpressedplz:

lol well for some zelda games id check amazon.com there rlly reliable and thts were i got some of my zelda stuff from and im still wanting tht ocarina T.T i hv to play epona's song on it and get a redish and orangeish horse tht responds to it
ARG all i can do is remember dark link from twili and all he does is walk around ya then when you strike he dodges then hits u from behind unless u hold the target button for the longest amount of time ever T.T i still remember the sore on my thumb from tht like 1-2 hours lolz

Yeah, I've been told that...but I am pretty mindful about online shopping and I have to keep shipping costs in mind.
Ah, ocarinas are amazing instruments! <3 I honestly took the plunge with online shopping for the first time and bought a beautiful plastic 12 hole alto one from Songbird Ocarinas to learn how to play. <333 I simply love it to death. I plan on getting an OoT replica from there sometime in the near future, but it is costly for me right now.

lol I just hope that I get the replica ocarina off amazon it actully works to!!But my wood one was a fail...(damn art class telling me what to do when she didnt even know what a ocarina was -.-)I forgot to put in the holes on the right side and seperate enough for my little fingers lol

She's named after the Celtic Horse goddess, aptly enough. :3 You are correct.
