Description
The Tick, hero of The City, overlooking his beloved home from a rooftop. At his side, friend Oedipus Ashley Stevens. Suddenly... ninja! By the half dozens! Streaming over chimney stacks! The Tick grins, happy to fight crime and evil wherever it may scamper. Ninja, he believes, are more afraid of you than you are of them. And besides, they're wacky!Oedipus does not agree, not being nigh-invulnerable... having been trained in the secret ways of the ninja for almost three whole weeks, she knows how troublesome they can be! Fear not, Oedipus, help (?) floats in the cloudless night sky!
Just having fun, folks! I realized I have been a fan of the Tick for over a decade now and /never drew a picture of him/! HUH! Wassupwidat??

Not bad. The reason Ben named her Oedipus was simply that she was a parody of Elektra. Elektra was named after Electra from Greek mythology, and since the Electra complex is analogous to the Oedipus complex, Mr. Edlund must have thought it fitting to name his parody as he did. As Handy would put it: "READ A BOOK!"

*LOL* Did you ever read the comics? I started with those, before the cartoon came out... was STOKED when they put that into production and ya know what? The cartoon was almost as good as the books! They kept everything really close, but they never did introduce Oedipus or the Tick Ninjas as they've come to be called. They were the flippin' funniest things ever drawn/written in a comic book about a huge arachnid crime fighter!!
I dunno /what/ Ben was thinking when he named her Oedipus. I think maybe he lost a bet or something.
*L* That signature, while half Chalyss, true, was actually taken from the TV series where Chairface got part of his name lasered into the lunar surface before he was stopped.

You have never READ the Tick?? This is not good! You simply MUST march down, right now, to your nearest comics store and pick up the Omnibus TPBs!!! Or go to Ebay and get them! Even the indivual comics... ANYTHING! You simply MUST read the comics, they started the whole thing! And without the comics, you don't get to see the ninja and Oedipus and my pic means nearly nothing to you! *sobsob*

I have a word for that SPOON!!!!!! I love it, BEN would be proud of you. I like the Moon nice touch, God I loved that cartoon on Fox YEARS ago. That should one day be on DVD. I bought the live action DVD, but I miss the cartoon. Your hair always looks great, and the Tick is dead on. Great job!
