Description "You stupid sluts look completely useless! Why did they even bother issuing you two uniforms? If it was up to me you'd both go straight to the gallows!"

I can't say if it was all that lucky for Holly and Zoe or not, but upon arrival at prison school, and after processing, they were not immediately executed. Instead they went straight to the rock pile and were put to the hard work of breaking up and hauling rocks every day for at least twelve hours.

NOTE: This is a reboot of sorts to an earlier picture ofΒ Holly and Zoe Β both sentenced to life imprisonment because their mothers are convicted felons. They'll remain at the prison school until they are of age for a "real" prison.

I just discovered your gallery and I really like your pics. I especially like the way you do the skin colors of the characters. How do you get them to come out so life like?Β

Thanks for the kind words (and the faves.) I use two shades of Prismacolor colored pencils to do flesh tones: light peach and beige. I try to press down lightly and just color in evenly. I do use a little touch of red or pink sometimes to give a little extra.

It also comes down to the scanning or photographing of the drawing, getting the lighting right, and soften adjusting the tones and brightness using photo editing programs-- such as i-Photo. To be honest, I didn't get this image quite how I'd like it and will likely re-photograph it in the future.

I really love this scenario I wonder how they feel about being forced to walk around barefoot?

But they should go straight to the gallows.Β

Of course you agree with the guard. Just remember, the gallows here are killing gallows. None of those asphyxiation/revive/repeat things here. Holly and Zoe would end up dead. I figured I've give them a chance to prove themselves-- for now.

I hope the guard and prison management don't waste too much time.

They'd look cute with longer necks, too.

And I am very curious to see what sort of uniform you'd design to send girls to the gallows in.

I am curious: did they prove themselves?Β

I will say that they have proven themselves a challenge to photograph. I know they would plead they're not to blame for dark spots and diminished color. They wouldn't dare imply that I should practice more with my photo stand.

So, I'll give them a reprieve while I "get the hang" of things.

Just a thought....

Have you tried Google Photoscan?Β  It's a free app which Google developed for scanning old photos, and for that application, it actually works quite well.

www.wired.com/2016/11/google-p…

It's optimized for print photo capture, but I'm actually wondering if it would work well for you too, as the problems you describe above are exactly the sorts of things it's designed to deal with.Β  It makes you take multiple images from various positions, then processes any artefacts out of it based on analysis across multiple images.

One warning, though.Β  It's slow.Β  I have an iPhone 7 Plus and it's quite a wait as it processes the images.Β  But it's still far faster than me dragging out my Canon flatbed scanner, or worse, clearing enough desk space to put it down.Β

In fact, a friend of mine suggested this very same APP and gave a quick demonstration of it. It appeared to work. He, like you, is an Amiga user, and still has an operational unit.

I'm still determined to make a go of this photo stand, especially since I invested my time and money into it.Β

The process of photographing a drawing still involves several steps: arranging the picture on the bed, zooming and focusing the camera, attempting to orientate the twin LED lights to illuminate evenly, taking the shot(s), uploading the pictures to my old I-MAC, then running them through I-Photo, saving the best effort to a thumbdrive, then uploading the finished picture here to DA using my new Chromebook-- the browser on the I-MAC is out of date, and not updatable. Like you, I don't have a nice, secure, dedicated space to set these things up. Other than that, it's a breeze!

I won't be able to put off my creative drive forever. Circumstances can only postpone me, but they can't stop me.
