Description This is a picture I took of some semi-powdered snow. A bit course and grainy. I adjusted the curves a bit in Photoshop, and fixed a couple of unsighlty white spots, but nothing else. This was taken during the quote unquote "snow storm" in the North East this past week while trying to use a Canon Powershot camera to take some pictures of some deer grazing in the snow... During the snow fall... Those pictures came out not like I wanted, but I'll put those up later.

Anyway, the best blending modes for this texture are (In no particular order): Color Dodge, Overlay, Vivid Light, Difference while Saturation and Color also give a nice look, though this texture is not suited for those last two very well being pretty much the same color. Personally, I like Linear light, giving photos that grimy look.

I find that messing with the hue & saturation of the layer In colorized mode gives a very nice color tint to it, allowing you to give it that true blue snow color if needed.

Great stuff! I used your stock here , for the ridge and as a general texture; I really like the effect it gave. Thanks very much for providing this!
