Description This is a mostly to scale mockup of a spaulder I will be making. It is made of aluminum roof flashing and leather scavenged from a couch, with superglue holding it together. It has full articulation as can be seen in the first picture, held on by strips of leather in the back to provide movement.

1:3.75 scale (2"*3.5"). The Main plate of the armor will have a full sized uncut 5"*7" piece of aluminum flashing, as will the three pieces below it (most likely). The top and bottom flaps will be cut in half on the short end providing 5" across. The main plates will be bent on the one inch mark to frame around those flaps. The side flaps will be cut to 3".

Each of the sections will have a rim of leather about .25" on each side. This will make each of the main sections 5.5"*7.5". It might be increased to .5" on each side depending on final look.

In the end, it should be roughly 13" long, covering my right arm with the top flap bending over the shoulder joint.

Due to the small scale size, the back looks alot more cluttered than the final will. And of course, I will get properly colored leather for the final. Could only find a white couch on bulk trash day to get the scraps from. Additionally, will try to scribe a wolf head onto one of the main plates, but no other decoration.

This was done to see how the final armor would look, to give an idea of length, framing, articulation. Kinda proud of the mockup as an individual piece though .

Thanks! And it's pretty easy to do, you should give it a try. Scrap leather, some aluminum flashing (like 2 bucks for a ten pack at home depot/lowes), and glue is all you need. Well, imagination too

This? Considering it's the size of a small cell phone, not long. Just cut up some small bits of leather, and the flashing provides the strength. The longest part was the gluing the small leather strips correctly. This was a two or three hours project tops.
