Taken inside the Lighthouse in Glasgow. Scotland.No concept, no hidden meaning.
Spirals play a massive part in our life and evolution, it's only natural to be attracted to them.

Your description is exactly correct...I came across someones journal recently where they were asking what drew them to certain photographs more, beauty or concept...and I believe it is a combination of both...beauty leads the viewer into the concept...and these types of photos are beautiful...but indeed have concept...(focus, clarity, centeredness, distance, movement, time, passage, etc)...I'd like to

The colors are brilliant...that orange really stands out nicely. It really gives this a feel of something that is definitely not a staircase, but much more technical and complex, winding together. Very stunning.
Have you ever considered cropping this square? I think it might give it a nice, tight feeling to it, a bit more symmetrical. Just a thought...

hahahaha....yeah your right to have a wee double think mate, its from the bottom, i was up and down for ages then decided that the bottom up shot one it. more interesting and more light to help with composition and whatnot, you should check the lighthouse out in glasgow if you haven't been yet mate, its pretty interesting in there. cheers man.

A lovely shot! Though many stairway shots have been done, this is quite unique! I like the diagonal balance, and the yellow stripe throughout reinforces the spiral, as well as the contemporary color scheme. Also distinguished with the brightly lit center and "x" of the poles.
