OMG!!!!! HOw the hell did you do this? if you dont mind I"d like to know the process what you were thinking, how you set it up etc

chapterone In reply to Aquiel [2005-01-31 12:40:39 +0000 UTC]

heh sure no problem, i would like to say that i took a large run up and leapt onto the bar and did a full 360 degree olympic swing while my friend caught the perfect moment with some deft photography....but if i did tell you that.. i would be lying out of my ass. what really happened was that i had to climb up the goalpost because i was too small to jump directly up on the crossbar and i did a caterpiller like upsidedown crawl along the bar until i was in the middle. i had already taken a shot with my friend standing where i would be hanging so he knew in which way i wanted the image to sit, so when i was in the middle i simply rolled off and hung like a mutant baboon while he snapped away before i fell. i then gave the image a 180 flip in photoshop to give the illusion of dangling. simple as that really. no fancy tricks or editing. i darkened the sky a little to add to the atmosphere but it was really only a tiny bit. was the perfect day for the shoot. the camera was right on the ground basically looking upwards at almost a 20 degree angle, it gives it alot more depth in my opinion. i hope that has cleared it up a bit. thanks for the interest, thats always very very welcome. Ben.
