Roux Nakamura does not believe in the higher power, or any 'god' everyone believes to exist. He is not and never will be superstitious, and will never believe in any superstitions. His past has placed an impact on him, thus he has dedicated his life for the sake of science and everything he deems real. He loves reading books, and has written books himself to compare the different things he has learned. He has a nick of being cunning, and he has his way of socializing with people that they cannot often read.
But he is also very rude. Due to not believing in any god, he dismisses the words of other people such as "God created me in his image", often giving off a rather quirky but at the same time insulting remark such as "I guess God looked like a Caucasian Boar. "
Roux has an active personality due to his insomnia/nightmare disorder and ADHD. He doesn't get enough sleep, thus giving him more alert senses while his ADHD never lets him finish a project he makes because he finds things boring almost immediately.
Regarding religion, he respects the other religions, but if someone PUSHES their religion on him and wants him to change his views, well...

▶ Likes and Dislikes
Likes
- Sweets. According to myth, sweets are the main causes of hyperactivity in children, but according to his own research, that is not true. He used to avoid them until his discovery.
- Acting. He is a spectacular actor, equipped with his cunning charm. He also needs his acting so that he can hide the fact that he is indeed extremely sleep-deprived.
- Make-up. No, he is not gay. Probably. He uses make-up to hide his sleep-deprivation. Before, it was just for his eye bags but it went further than that when he started using it for his acting and helping other females feel better about themselves because "If God was real, He wouldn't make you ugly."
-Books and reading. He LOVES research. In his hometown's one and only library, it is said that Roux has read every book in the library.
-Writing. He isn't a novelist, mind you. All the books he has written are based on facts, and FACTS only. He has never published a book. But secretly, he has written a few stories.

  Dislikes
- Superstitious people. He hates how these people are letting luck, God, or some unknown force take control of their fate or destiny. He believes that every action has a corresponding reaction; whether it is in your favor or not is decided by the specified calculations and preparations you have created beforehand. These people include Fortune Tellers; the MOST.
- The Zodiac. He doesn't hate constellations. He hates how people are using stars to depict how they should act out their day because "Some Deity made of connect-the-dots balls of plasma from the universe will interfere." For crying out loud, they're stars! The only way they can affect your life is they get too close to earth when they are about to die and turn into a supernova!
- Ties. As you can see in the sketch, he doesn't wear his neck tie or anything on his neck at all. He feels constrained when he wears one, reminding him of his past.
- Chocolate.
- The phrase "Good Luck."

▶ History
- Being born on a "Friday the 13th", nonetheless on November, not to mention the incredible affinity to all things black, black hair and black eyes, his   mother treated him as nothing but bad luck. His mother was a famous actress, but because of rape- thus leading to Roux- she had to step down from her career and became a rich entrepreneur. But because of Roux, she became very superstitious. Roux was also quite prone to accidents before; an illness he has fixed. Thus, his entire childhood, Roux was treated nothing more than a stray black cat. He has a scar around his neck which he hides with make-up due to how his mother made him wear a collar.
- Because his mother treated him as nothing more than a stray animal, he was able to move around in town with people casually avoiding him because everyone thought he was indeed bad luck. Luckily, the books in the library comforted him and gave him knowledge he never knew was possible. He was particularly interested in books by Stephen Hawking such as "A Brief History of Time" and the multiverse theory. He also read several myths and legends, including the bible, but they weren't able to impress him. This has given him a liking to everything science, and thus explains why he does not believe in superstitions.
- His favorite scientists inspired him do to his own researches, determined to prove to his mother that he is in fact, not bad luck, such as making the blue prints for their new house and structuring it so that everything is in place, and all positions have been calculated to avoid any sort of casualty, whether it be a simple scratch or death. But his mother couldn't be impressed, crushing his dreams and placing her anger on him because of her stress at work. She often does this at night, thus explaining his extreme insomnia. His body has been trained to be awake at night because of his mother. This extreme insomnia started when he was at age 11.
- His mother has also done a lot of things that she thought would remove the bad luck out of him, including rituals and other stupid myths she tried out. Exposed to these at a very young age, the images that his mother flashed out stuck to his head and reappeared again and again in his nightmares, another cause of insomnia. The failure of each caused great stress on his mother, slowly eating away her sanity. His determination to prove the myths wrong rooted from the experience of never wanting these images to appear in his dreams again.
- Even though his mother treated him like this, he loved her dearly. He wants her to love him back saying that the only reason his mother hates him is because of the series of actions she did which she weren't able to prevent because of her blind faith to fate. Unfortunately, his efforts of proving himself seemed to have worsened her condition.
- But his patient love came to an end during his 16th birthday which landed yet again on a Friday when his mother decided to go totally insane and cut off Roux's right arm while he was asleep to 'sacrifice it to the demon to give him good luck'. His right hand was his source of power, being a right-handed person. His books and researches, now they seemed out of reach because he lost his hand. His mother dragged him using his collar to the ritual circle. Outraged beyond imagination and powered by anger, Roux took the ritual knife she was about to use and slit her throat. When he came back to his right mind, he found himself not even shedding a tear for his mother, deeming that this event could have been prevented if both of them acted rationally. But he wouldn't allow himself to be caught by the police, thus creating the perfect suicide scene for her mother. It was a closed case, after all, his mother did have a lot of reasons to commit suicide.
- Trying to run away from the house that night, he stumbled upon a building that seemed rather out of the place and entered. Finding out that it was actually a school for people lost like him, he decides to enroll and study there.

- He doesn't have his right hand anymore thus he practiced using his left hand for writing.
- When he was 13, his eyesight started deteriorating thus he needed contact lens. But due to his mother's demands, she got him yellow contact lens, saying the figure of an unlucky black cat shouldn't be changed because it provides more bad luck.

-Even though he is intelligent, Roux was only able to go to school up to the 4th grade because his mother deemed him unfit. Thus, he used her money to hire his personal tutor at home.

-Though he has never been open about it, he does't really care about his partner's sexuality, if he ever got one.
