Description
For more than a year now, Kanasta has held nothing but doting, motherly affection for the little fairy known as Tsu-maru. But now, as hearts grow and more new characters are introduced, it looks like the latina may just end up having to make room for one more little one. And she will do whatever is necessary to spread the love evenly.HB, B, and 2B pencil on 9.5 x 6 in. paper, drawn in about three hours.

Chaz is anything but gone. I just haven't felt intrigued to draw him a lot lately. All the same, his design is currently being tweaked. He looks far too much like a Sonic character, so I'm working to make him look more unique. I hope you like what I end up with. And truth be told, while my account name is
"Chaz-the-Weasel", Kanasta is actually the main character in my little tale, so you'll see a lot of focus on her and her friends. Thanks for commenting!

Your traditional stuff is quite awesome, if ever elusive ;o The lack of coloring here and the shading gives it a soft, quaint touch, and- am I actually saying something other than "Great work 
And Kannie sleeping adds to that feeling. The Tsu- maru/mei dolls are adoooowable >3<

I like the few knick-knacks you put in the background, as this is apparently her room? It'd be strange for it to be devoid of anything, so, yeah. Seeing those picture frames, I can't help but wonder what the pictures in them look like.

Yes, this is indeed Kanasta's room, or at least a rough idea of it. I came close to drawing in actual photos in those frames, but not only was I not sure what to draw, but I felt it would be best not to take too much attention away from the focal point, Kanasta at her desk with the dolls. I think I do better work in pencil than I do colored pencil, but you're right, this probably is better without the color :3 Thank you very much for commenting, Adam.

Cute. XD The little items in the background were a nice touch, since there's so much meaning behind them. I'm actually a little surprised that there weren't things related to Lilliana or Regina in this one, but the dolls are the focus here, so it's no big deal. x3

I came close to not drawing the extra pieces in back, but I wanted to provide the bedroom atmosphere, so I figured it best to go ahead and draw in some of the background to her room. As for Lilliana's stuff, you'd be more likely to find that in her own room or the computer room. Regina's stuff is scattered throughout the house, and in the music room downstairs. But all the gifts Kanasta's gotten are all right up here :3 I'm very glad you like the picture. Thank you for commenting!

Because today was Easter Monday and since I was spending time with my family today, the picture made me feel those feelings again.

You don't have to smudge XP Just connecting your strokes more smoothly will result in a nice look without all that smudging mess!
Mei's still getting used to the fact that she's not Tsu-maru. Her feelings for everyone are no different, and Kanasta can see that easily. That's why she has no trouble letting her into her heart. In a way, she's been there all along.

No that's not the kind of smudging I mean. I mean smudging it accidentally with my hands as I'm shading it. It's happened lots of times
