what if we got an animated Superman movie made by PIXAR??I tried to get the look of their flms on this piece, and the costume is a mix between the new 52 and the 213 MOS movie ones

It's amazing. It has some elements from the classic suit, some of the New 52 suit, some stuff recalling the Man of Steel suit, but it works in sooo manyyy levels way much better than the actual and official redesigns that have been shown so far in the New 52 line. This piece is stunning, it yields "classic" and "futuristic" all at the same time. It's beautiful. Too bad for DC, it's their loss for their narrow point of view, with all due respect to Jim Lee, might be he's a hardworker artist, but most of the visual decisions made by everyone in DC since post Flashpoint have been a huge misstep. But, what do we know, right...??
Anyway, this is an amazing job, man. Kudos!!!!!!

This is the first time outside of his classic uniform that I've actually seem him look heroic. Your job is done based on that fact alone. I'm a purist and he actually looks like Superman to me.

This is AMAZING. Β While I like the Man of Steel costume, this one is really the first version of "Armored Superman" that really makes Kal-El look MORE impressive. Β
You've pulled off a look that feels more like "Classic Pulp Sci Fi Space Suit" than "Armor", which both the New 52 and MoS suits supposedly ARE -- and I love that. Β It hearkens back to the roots of the character and carries suggestions of a positive, optimistic future, rather than the dystopian overtones of Batman's latex, leather and kevlar.
This is a Superman who looks like the Man of Tomorrow -- with all of the hope that Tomorrow SHOULD bring.

Maybe Disney-Pixar should ask Warner-DC to loan the ancilliary rights to this iconic character first.

This is the best piece of Superman art I have seen in a long time!
You've combined the best parts of the New 52 Superman and the new Man of Steel movie look. I feel that Man of Steel's costume is missing something where the shorts would be and New 52 Superman's red belt has too much red in it, so I like the yellow/bronze buckle and re and blue belt you've come up with. Although I think that if the belt could be replaced with something else entirely it would be better as Batman's utility belt makes sense but Superman carries no gadgets.

yes, I agree with you, IΒ΄d rather prefer the new 52's belt yellow, but I can see why they painted it red, to use the yellow as an "s" shield exclusive colour. I added the "belt" just as a fashion point since as you said, it doesnt do anything. lol

Man, that is SO what he'd look like if done by PIXAR! I dunno if it would be the greatest interpretation of Superman ever, but it would certainly be interesting to see.
