Thanks so much for your lovely comments. I guess pastels have just got me hooked, I wouldn't know what to do with oils or watercolours for example.

I'm in the (slow) process of trying watercolours myself, it's not as hard as you might think but it's definitely not easy! Pastels might be something to try... I like Acryllics the best though so far Colour-wise, anyway... graphite is my all time fav.

That's beautiful! I don't know know what kind of dog this is either, but I've seen it before.

It turned out great. The eyes remind me of a dog we used to have, it passed away last August..
