Description I really didn't know what category to put this in. o3o; It is typography, but I didn't use stencils...and it's not calligraphy. So... Yeah.
All said in the above painting is true, for me. |D;; Please don't judge me just because I don't judge others.

This took me a while to finish it, and--despite some sloppiness--I'm proud of this piece. :3 Acrylic paints on...some kind of board. XD I don't know how much time I spent on this, but I know that on the day I finished it, I spent 4.5 hours on it. As in four and a half. And every other day I spent about an hour and a half. But I dunno how many days it took, so.

ANYWAY. Hope you enjoy it. :3

fair enough, but we are judged by our actions which may be borne from any one of those three.

I agree though that one ought never hate another based on where you meet them in life. Augustine says "it is best to hate the crime but affirm the nature." Not to say any of the above are crimes, but let's not forget (ever) the weight our actions carry and that some dispositions can be dangerous.

Yes, I agree. But I'm just saying that I won't judge you based on things like that. I judge based on how people treat me. c:

If that is the Catholic stance, as you say it, how do you judge those who treat you with hostility? Now, 'love thy enemy' is no easy task, but it is what we're called to do (to the best of our ability).

Maybe what's leaving me off-put is the use of the word "judge."

I don't deal with people who treat me badly, or at least I try not to. I have bad temper problems, so if someone is hurtful towards me I just try to keep away from them. I don't hate any human beings, but I don't try to make friends with all of them.

What's your definition of the word 'judge'? To me, it's how you see a person, and what you think of them. A lot of people use it as a negative term, but I don't. It's impossible not to judge someone.

That's very true.

There are false judgments, ones that are based on preconceptions and ones based on ignorance (either of definitions or ideologies)

There are true judgments too, some based on knowledge and experience, others based on taking into account the result, intent, and character behind an individual's actions.

It is, in a way, how you see someone, but judging is more active (I think). I think in your definition you're saying what pre-requisites we use in order to judge.

It's alright to get angry with jerks. But, it's easy to become angry at them, far more difficult to maintain composure. The latter is certainly better

That is true. I try not to judge people based on rumors or other unreliable sources, but sometimes I just believe things without thinking.

Ah, that makes sense.

Yeah, I can't really do that. If someone makes me angry I tend to blow up in their face and end up making a fool of myself. So I just try to ignore people or avoid them if I know they're trouble.

Well, as you said in other comments, you're still pretty young. I think calm comes with age.... so it will come.

I certainly hope so.

...how do you know I said I was young?

You were clear about it in your "Christianity" Stamp, in the author's comments, where you specifically state your age.

Reading the author's comments is just as important as the work itself, you know.

Oh yeah... I forgot I put that there. I just remembered putting it in my comments to other people on there, but I removed the comments, so I was confused as to how you knew.

And yes, I know, I just rarely remember this stuff. I have a terrible memory.

It's nothing worth getting worked up about. That's just what I read, so I figured it was relevant here too.
