I'll most likely just skim over it and delete it.So, the first stamp of my fresh, new gallery. It's also one I've been thinking about making for some time now, ever since all this "Straight Pride" crap started popping up.
Why is there a need to be proud for being straight? It has always been the accepted sexual orientation. It has always been "right." It was so easy to attain, you never had to fight for rights to be straight.
When you're kicked out of your home, beaten, and treated like shit for holding hands with someone of the opposite sex, then you can go around parading this crap. But until then, shut the fuck up, you never had to do anything to be accepted. It's like being proud of having fingernails.

I think there shouldn't be pride at all. What i mean is, the type of pride I'm talking about is "Humanity pride" well all come together to celebrate how far the human race has come. How we all over look our differences and realize when it comes down to it, we all bleed red in the end.

I`m curious. Just why don`t we have religious pride or pride flags? I mean, Christians get persecuted a lot for their faith because they can`t βcontrolβ it, and their religion is illegal in many countries yet they don`t seem to care much. It`s what I like about them. We`d have a CIHB+ (Christianity, Islam, Hinduism, Buddhism) movement who would bring out shotguns to anybody who opposes their agenda lol.

There are parades that consist of religious ceremonies (like in Christian Poland, Hindu India, and Buddhist Thailand), but most of them do not explicitly state about being proud of their religion. Their practice of their religions seem to be enough for them, instead of showing it off in a parade.

Straight pride is a combat to the hypocrisy that people are you are perpetrating. The hypocrisy that cisgender, heterosexual people shouldn't have pride for their sexual orientation, but members of the LGBT+ community have a right to flaunt it like there's no tomorrow.Β And we do get shit for being straight. We're kicked out of support groups, we can't attend rallies to show that we care for the LGBT+ community, ALL of us are labeled as bigots, despite the presence of Allies like myself, and there's a lot of transphobia too. Because Trans folks can be straight. Fuck, one of my friends had a GSA in her school that was SHUT DOWN because straight people were being kicked out by the extremely heterophobic president of the group. Homophobes and heterophobes BOTH need to grow up and realize that hating someone for something they can't control is stupid and insane. Heterophobes are more likely to get away with their bullshit scot-free, because they can play the victim card and sing the song of their oppression. Straight pride has no reason to exist other than to shame gays for being proud of who they are. They are the majority, are not oppressed, and are statistically shown to be more intolerant of minorities than literally any other majority population.

Although I see your point, I still don't understand why it's a bad thing to have pride in yourself. Even if you ARE a 'normal' person.
I mean, I'm white, but even though I'm a 'normal' person, that doesn't mean that I can't/shouldn't take pride in myself for being who I am.
Everybody should be able to love AND have pride for themselves, even IF they aren't treated like crap for it.

In some places, gays cannot adopt. They may foster a child, but if they try to adopt them, it will be taken away. Here's a scenario to help you understand something that could VERY WELL HAPPEN to a gay individual.
You and your partner can't have kids, so you turn to adopting. You foster a young baby girl who never got a name, because her birth parents never named her. So, you and your partner name her Angel Rose (last name). You are confident after a year that she is your baby. Her first word was mama/dada (depending on you) and she said it because she loved you and that's what you called yourself. You attempt to adopt her and you are not allowed. She is taken to a different foster home. You don't know if that home is an abusive foster home that's just doing it for the money and starving your precious baby girl. You don't know if you'll ever see your baby girl again.
You go to a support rally, and while talking, gunshots ring out. You and your partner rush for cover, and you make it, but they're just a little too slow. You see a speeding bullet shoot through their flesh and into their skull, causing a painful snap. You can almost feel their heartbeat slow down to a stop. As if something died in you. You lost your baby girl, you lost the love of your life, and all feeling of meaning. People still call you out in a bad way for your sexuality. You're already broken, but now you're crushed. You have 3 choices. End yourself, try for love again (but you're too broken and that feels wrong), or live without meaning.
Meanwhile you straight people can adopt, and you won't get killed for being straight.
