Max Payne voice:It started as a simple request from Takai.
A beach picture. A two-piece swimsuit. Thirty-four towels.
Then it turned into a background/perspective nightmare.

Takai's playing that game, and all I hear are those cheesy one-liners from his droning inner monologue echoing through my thoughts. XD
Takai wanted a beach day, but insisted that for once she gets to wear her new two-piece. Naturally, you can't expect a girl to just lay in the sand, so we had to pack towels. Lots and lots of towels.
Anyhow, that's all for now. I hope everyone's well, I'll see you tomorrow!
(Sadly, no clever pun for the title of this one. I'm so ashamed)

You'd figure a giantess would need a good prescription, being able to see small details (like people and cars) tends to be a big deal.

Personally, this has to be my favourite SaD of yours. mainly because I love the beach. of course I was never one for laying on the beach. I like swimming in the water and floating around and seashell collecting more. And I don't know if Takai tans, but I sure don't. I'm as pale as can be. And I just thought about how much sunscreen one would have to pack for just me, and I couldn't even think about Takai x___x
and about the perspective in this, I think you did fine! And there's not too much need for a background at a beach, where I live it's really just the beach, and more beach because it's a sand bar XD I mean, you could always draw a board walk or some dune grass, or even deer, but why do that when you can be lazy? (Because Lazy route is the best way to go)
And jeez, that really does look like a lot of towels. I sure hope in a case like that she wouldn't make you carry all of them x__x

Takai's more the 'walk along the shore' kind of beach-goer. She doesn't really tan (her skin's too pale), but the waves at the beach we go too are pretty rough, so not a lot of people go swimming there.
I think the reason I was put off by the perspective is I started off by drawing Takai at a certain angle, and then afterwards I decided I wanted to include both the shoreline and the fence along the boardwalk in the background... Then I realized halfway through killing myself over it that I had drawn Takai's body in one perspective and curved the whole thing to a second perspective by the end, fish-eye style. It was baaad. XD
I don't think I could carry all these towels if I wanted. If she doesn't carry some back, we're abandoning them to the seagulls.

Unless Chibi or Takai claim otherwise, I'm going to assume that Takai's strength scales with her mass and that she thus has "ordinary" strength compared to her mass (e.g. can lift something up to half her weight without straining).

OH mah goodness, how pretty and cute!
Takai must have some amazing perception to read a book that relatively tiny! Maybe that's what the glasses are for and she's a touch far-sighted. (An important trait for a giant, I would think!)
And but of course! When you got to the beach, you gotta lie on towels! It's like, A RULE!
Also, a thing I've been wondering for a while; how strong is Takai relative to her size? If she's inordinately strong compared to her size (in other words, super-strong by the standards of people who are around twenty feet tall), that would handily explain how she trumps the Sqaure-Cube Law. (BECAUSE SCIENCE IS FUN!)

As far as Takai's strength, it's proportional to her size. Given that her 'normal' size is still 9'6" though, I'd say she's still extremely strong, even at her base height.
Regarding the square-cube law, she uses ancient buddhist romani voodoo gypsy rites to surpass this limitation. (It's magic, bro)

Dang, now I got a hankering to devise some group that uses ancient Buddhist Romani Voodoo Gypsi rites for the purposes of makin' giant ladies who scoff at physics! (Also, wearing awesome hats. Because EVERYONE NEEDS AN AWESOME HAT. Except for Beppo from accounting, but he's secretly a supervillain anyway, so he probably has an awesome shoe assortment to compensate.)

I love this. You already know that, but I especially love the description of this. When I read it, I totally heard it in Max Payne's voice too. Blegh! Get him out of my brain!

I like those too. I like to show how challenging the things we take for granted can be for someone of Takai's stature. Doorways, low ceilings, small chairs and clothes- the world wasn't built for a girl this size.
