The deviation that almost wasn't. I can't believe I'm a day late and I *still* almost didn't get it uploaded in time. It doesn't help that I just spent the last half-hour fighting with DevArt trying to get the picture to upload. *sigh*If I weren't so happy with how this picture had come out, I would have thrown in the towel and gone to bed.

Hang on! Knowing how tall Takai usually is, that would be a long drop! Speaking of that, it looks like you shrunk in this picture, because Takai is holding a normal-sized pencil, and leaning on a normal-sized desk, or at least they look normal-sized.

Really, I was just trying to push myself here... Some good things came out of it. It was hard though, and then I got the android tablet, and I started taking a little more care in what I produced.
Plus, I think somewhere in that timespan I picked up a game (I think it was Fallout 3) and really effed up my productivity. XD

Yep, they're all real people (although, obviously with some exaggeration ^_^ ).
Takai's height varies, she primarily sticks in that mini-gts range, but there's an occasional picture where she's bigger.

I might be feeling some deja vu when I look at this, but that's fine. I think this may be the first time I've seen you draw a pencil that fits almost perfectly in Takai's hand. At least you finished one more sketch and made it look a little better in time.

I really like Takai's hoodie here, I'm somewhat inclined to call it a vest too (and I'm just a sucker for sleeveless coats); I'd call this a very cute interaction piece. From the looks of things, Takai has either used a local graphite mine and lumberyard to make pencils and is using a roof for a table, or Chibi is WAY smaller than usual. Either way, desired effect of huge girl tiny girl IS ACHIEVED WITH MUCH GUSTO.

I'm glad you like the outfit, I've got some kind of fascination with striped garments and hoodies, so I love the chance to draw something that fits into both categories.
I was actually thinking that I was a tiny in this drawing, and Takai is still her 'normal' 9'6". I don't draw this often, but when we originally designed our characters, while contact with water makes Takai grow, it has the opposite effect on me. Hence the chibi Chibi. ^__^
