Who knew that doing a 3 and a half minute of animation will take THAT MANY frames?
I'm ready to rip my hands off, and I STILL haven't colored it yet.

Anyway:
I love this story, I didn't have to draw any backgrounds except for the last panel^^
Man, after what Donko did to Patrick in the last strip, I'm surprised at how quickly things return to normal between them.
But maybe it's just me, taking the whole "tickle" thing too hard... It's still scary...
Get it? The Japanese monster's name is Toho, like "Toho", the company that made all the Godzilla movies! Get it? Monster movies- Godzilla- Toho- Japnese Monster, get it? Get it?! GET IT?!
Yeah, I'm gonna stop now...
Man, Toho's design looks way more interesting than Donko's. Why can't the story be about him and HIS kid friend? "The Under The Futon Stories of Takahashi and Toho"!XD
It'll be a spin-off.
(5th panel)- "How many kids besides me do you think have monsters?!"- Well, to be fair, Patrick, it's Japan. So I'm pretty sure it's normal for kids to have monsters there.
(last panel)-Is it just me or does Takahashi look like Sosuke from Ponyo? Damn me and my unoriginality!
btw, Toho's referencing "Gremlins", in case you pondered.
Yeah! You can tell we're in Japan because there's a scroll with a Kanji written word on the wall and a Gundam figurine on the table! Because that's what ALL Japanese kids have in their rooms, right?. Exactly like how if we were in Scotland we would have hear endless bagpipe music everywhere!
And YES! They are talking in Japanese with each other, but it's TRANSLATED, o.k? Don't freak out.
Oh, and here's a random non-important fact: Toho's eyes (ehh... all three of them) are grey, that means Toho is just a normal monster unlike Donko and Fnorg who has redish-orange and yellow eye colors. Normal monsters can have any kind of eye color EXCEPT for red, orange and yellow. The only monsters who have red/orange/yellow eye colors are the ones who are half demons.
So next time you're walking down the street and you see a monster- you can tell if it's a normal monster or if it's half demon. I know it wouldn't do much when it'll try to eat you, but... at least you'll know before you'll die
Well, that was fun. Now back to my endless tedious as hell animation... -_-

It's just like how it's common to think that there are four element powers in the world (the power of "love" doesn't count -_-), but in MY world there's five.
It's all depend on how the rules YOU created go.

There are lots of rules and expositions about those elements and what groups they're divided to and what their weaknesses are and stuff like that that I can talk about for hours.

Heh. I wonder how that would work out, actually. Their personalities might be a little bit abrasive towards one another, seeing as Donko is a major tomboy, while bern's a bit of a laid-back tenderheart.
Fun fact: the SnS (my as-of-yet-undrawn series, Stix N' Stonez) series has 11 elements: lightning, stone, fire, ice, wind, water, time, light, shadow, moon, and space.

Omg, "time" sounds so cool! If I could choose any kind of super-power, it would be time control! That's the best thing ever!
But why is there moon AND space? what's the different? What can you do with moon powers anyway? Unless you're sailor moon.
In my world stone is considered an earth-elementals power, water-elementals can make ice (if they're really advanced), fire and electricity can produce light, and shadow is kinda like a sub-specie of air-elementals that got corrupted- they're still air-elementals, but they also have darkness related powers.
So the only thing I'm missing is time, moon and space. Hmm...
Unless I count the aliens, but that comes WAY later, and they still have nothing that's "time" powers related.

Yeah, it would be pretty interesting to see. Though I wonder how Bern and Patrick might get along...
And yeah, time's pretty cool, though my characters mostly use it to give themselves an edge by slowing down their foes. As for space and moon, the Space element's essentially the equivalent if the Dragon type in Pokemon. It's the last one they find, it's insanely powerful, and it's completely badass. Whereas Moon is more geared towards healing magic. It's basically a defensive element, whereas space is pure offense. As for the comic, maybe someday when I have a tablet and my own computer and I'm no longer dealing with school, then maybe I can get serious about it.

Is Bern the kid who your monster lives with?
It's nice that you can use Pokemon in your equalization withOUT having people compare your characters to Pokemons.
It's like, every time someone sees one of my characters for the first time they're like: "Hey! They're Pokemons!" THEY'RE NOT F@CKING POKEMONS! They talk and they stand on two legs and they have human intelligence and they don't say they're names over and over and over again! GOD!!!
That's why I tend to associate my comic with the word "Pokemon" as little as possible, although sometimes I have no choice because it actually DOES have more than a few similarities-_-
If anything else, my characters are closer to being furries than Pokemons.
Actually, that doesn't make it a whole lot better...>_>;
Gosh, to think how far I could have gotten in my comic had I not being in college right now...T_T

And yeah, I've seen a lot of people call other's own creations Pokemon, but seeing as we're now up to 655 confirmed ones, it's kinda hard to blame them. As for me, I've never made the mistake, seeing as I'm a bit of a pokènerd.

I used to be a pokenerd but now it's like, who cares? And whatever thousand types of chairs, balloons ,garbage bags and other random objects look alike pokemons (I think they ran out of animals, so they just started making them into furniture) and what generation are we at now, anyway? 10000th?
I kinda stopped following after the third generation came out. It got tedious as hell... Besides, the premise of every episode is exactly the same, so what's the point in keep making new episodes and new pokemons?
I'll tell you why- TO SELL MORE MERCHANDISE!

Well, it's still funny to watch the show just for the riffing. Like, a while ago I watched the ditto episode, with the mansion, and it was the most retarded thing ever! Every second I found something that made me laugh my ass off!
I think the best part was after team rocket stole ditto instead of pikachu, and the gang wanted to go and kick their asses, but Ash was like: "Wait, you guys! I have a better idea!" and that ingenious idea was-! to dress up like team rocket, do their little speech and THEN kick their asses. WHAT THE HELL WAS THE POINT IN THAT?! It didn't help them defeating team rocket any better, it just wasted everybody's (including myself) time!
I think the writers figured out that the episode was like 3 minutes short, so they had to add that pointless scene.
That's the only reasonable explanation.

Yeah, Bern's more of the playful affectionate type. XD and I can't see Donko being all that cuddly either. Of course, demons aren't exactly known for their affection, so I'm sure half-demons are the same way, no matter how small and cute of a package they come in. It's like painting a saw blade pink and drawing a smiley face on it.

I they did it in one of the Futurama films, and boy- these pink swords were so bad-ass that they almost destroyed the whole other universe.

Bigger? Yes. Stronger? Probably not, considering Donko managed to punch out both the Grudge, and Fnorg, the son of fucking SATAN. Meanwhile, the most bern's ever done is hold down squirming, laughing children. Yeah, I'm pretty sure she'd win in a fight.

Ehh... Actually, she didn't beat Fnorg, it was Patrick who knocked him out with his book report or something.
Besides, Fnorg may be the son of Satan, but she's Beelzebub's daughter- so their ranking is pretty similar. But I have to admit, her physical strength is weaker than Fnorg because, even though she's next in line to inherit the third level of hell, she's still a girl and Fnorg is a dude.
At least your monster doesn't eat paper...

No. There is no final (I mean, it's this type of stories that can go on and on), but right now the last strip I've gotten to (before I'll have any new ideas and time to execute them) is strip no. 58. It's not the "end", it's just that I have no ideas right now for new stories. Even though there will be twist in the plot and the story SHOULD go on from there, and I can EXPLAIN what will come next- I just haven't written it yet.
Besides, I want to keep working on my "Element Beat" comic, and I probably won't do THAT either, because of college.
But I'll get to it eventually. When I'm done with college. Four years from now...-_-

I was hopping that while I'm posting my Donko and Patrick comic I'll continue working on my other comic series, but then I started college and had no time to work on nothing. It pisses me off because I did it during my military service, and now I can't find the time to draw what I like anymore because I have homework all the time...

And it's not that I don't WANT to keep it going, I just don't have time to do homework AND do my comics, so I had to put my comics on halt.
And I didn't say the next part will be more interesting (the fourth chapter is rather boring in fact), I said the FIFTH chapter will be interesting, but to get to it we have to go through chapter 4 first, otherwise we'll end up with the same problem that was in the TMNT VHS tape (where they put the fourth episode before the third one or something).
