...experimental style...i haven't drawn yukimi in a while...wait a sec...this isn't chibi!!...and it's not really really saturated!...i've been wanting to do a picture of yukimi which doesn't have her being really cute and stuff, that's why she's a bit serious here

My girls are pretty squat too, so I don't really think there's any problem with short proportions like this.

OMG! YUKIMI!
She looks so much more mature and serious in this picture. It's great to change it up from time to time so she doesn't become so "flat and two dimensional" (pun not initially intended ). I also like the new detail of the earrings to balance out her eyes.

I definitely enjoyed it a lot. I'm guessing a few other Yukimi fans enjoyed the maturity of her but haven't checked out the comments so dunno for certain

It's good to experiment with ones style.
The lighting, shading, folds and coloring are really beautiful.
Though I think your other style is cuter and more happy-go, I really like this style as well. But I think maybe, since you seem to be going for a more realistic shading, especially in her face, then maybe you could try to let the shadow on her forehead match the shape of her hair and see how that looks. I am just suggesting you try and see how you like it, since it is also really awesome as it is.
I am kinda surprised you added a nose too. It's cool.
