Okay! Enough with fanart! Time for something original!

Rover is the eccentric but marginally successful captain of the starship 'Old Bessy', a trading vessel. He's upbeat, boundlessly enthusiastic and dangerously reckless. If he thinks there's a good haul on the other side of a black hole you can 'bet'cher britches' he'll fly through it. Despite his slight insanity he knows his customers and knows what's valuable to who and, as he once put it, he can 'sell water to a Alvurian shark'. His ship's cargo hold is like a space-age garage sale, but you can bet he can move any item there. Although he does have a tendency to exaggerate his merchendise he is a generally honest trader.

He has a bit of an odd obsession with Earth's 'old west', although he doesn't always have his facts about it straight.

"This is just like the time Hank Williams fought in the O.K. Corral!" His hat is his most precious possession and would run into a herd of stampeding geriribeasts to rescue it...which he has actually done.

Captain Picard says 'Engage', Janeway says 'do it'. Rover Finnigan? "Head 'em up! Move 'em out!"

Wondering about his arm? Don't bother, he'll tell you...several times and each story will be different. "Fell into the river in the jungles of Azuris 4. Did you know they have piranha's the size of whales?"..."Did you ever play a card game with the Ruthenians? Let me tell you, when they say high stakes, they mean high stakes!"..."You see, the natives of Marrack have this ritual before making trade agreements...."

At the age of 9 he was discovered in a derelict ship by a Jssfloon chill13.deviantart.com/art/Jss… salvage ship...the only survivor of an attack he could not remember. Raised by the aliens that found him he has had absolutely zero contact with humanity. His only connection with his own race are the few entertainment data files salvaged from his ship, many of which are mixed together or corrupted.

I'll eventually put up more information on him and his crew, and hopefully a few stories if ya'll think it'd be a good idea.
