Description
Revision of the BassFlake .The little flowery thing in the centre is there to attach the lowest line, since the bass clef doesn't pass through it. Same with the lines holding the dots on.
Time spent: Just over an hour.

Simple, elegant, and a design that I can relate to in two ways. (I play baritone B.C. and also make paper snowflakes)

True. If you can't play them to see what's wrong or to see if it's fully fixed then the job gets a lot harder.

Yeah. Two weeks of guitar was annoying. I don't play strings. At all. Don't ask me to restring a guitar either, because I suck at that too. I can dress frets and refret and shape new nuts and bridges and find and repair internal bracing but I can't for the life of me neatly restring a guitar. At least it wasn't a part of the course we were being graded on.

The clef flakes don't really take that long. It's not so much patience as it is large amounts of boredom and no life to speak of.

Not sure. The original turned out fairly nicely compared to the rest. I may eventually redo it to match the new Treble and Bass. I think the AccidentalFlake needs redoing first, as it's not that great.
Unless this is a demand that I make a new AltoFlake, in which case I'll get right on it...

The AccidentalFlake is ugly and I hate it. You're not missing out on anything if you haven't seen it. I think I shall redo that one so it's not utter garbage.

Ah, found it! Well, I don't think it's utter garbage; it looks very abstract, but not necessarily in a bad way. I couldn't tell that it's accidental signs off the bat, though. I do see some natural signs in there, but I think that's mostly because I know what I'm supposed to be to looking for. So yeah, in that sense a redo might be nice, but I don't think this one is bad in and of itself, no. It just might not convey the "message" you want as clearly as you'd like.

I think it's mostly because I didn't separate the symbols enough. They're just sort of smushed together. Also, it would be kind of nice to get my music-themed snowflakes all matched up with the same sort of style and background colour. So, new AccidentalFlake and AltoFlake, even if the latter turned out fine the first time through.

As in paper snowflakes? I'm not sure. I haven't looked. I did see some cool ones back when I was part of Elfwood that had unicorns and suchlike in them.

Yup, all by hand. To date, the cutting takes between one and four hours, depending on the complexity of the design.
