I have recently made an OC for an eco-fiction tale about the consequences of overfishing and bycatch. Phoquette (whose name is derived from the French word for “Seal”) is a selkie, a mythical creature from Irish lore. The center is her human form, the California Sea Lion to the right is her pinniped form. A fictional conglomerate named General Fisheries, Inc. is CEO’d by a corrupt businessman named Julius Adams, who made her an endentured servant after being caught by bucatch. Therefore, a defecting entrepreneur named Nate Winger decided to free her back to the coast of Northern California. Will he succeed?
