Description
White House Redux The classic white house which is the home of the president of the united states has existed for over 200 years. The iconic front pillars are example of old roman architecture. However with a new president in the house who brings the word "change" then the white house must undergo the same change to reflect that! So instead of the old roman architecture, I used futurist architecture as its style instead. The sharp corners and bold shapes imply a powerfull yet caring message suitable for the new president. The cardboard that built this model was actually out of my old Nintendo Wii box. As the cardboard was high quality this model came out very clean and professional.
The "Discord" is that the design for the white house has undergone such a transformation from the old design.

Power behind the scenes usually implies I work for the power that everyone can see, such as Lady Macbeth making arrangements that her husband could not make so that he could become king.

I don't think I could hold a throne myself to be honest. Besides being behind the scenes has the advantage of being out of the lime light, one less stressor as you work to rule the world.

interesting, I happen to like the white house design, the pillars look strong and yet refined but if they were to ever build a new one I hope they do use a design like this! the roman empire was strong in it's day and it lasted for quite a while but it did fall, we should be looking ahead instead of riding the coattails of a fallen empire. a futeristic design is just what we need to show that we're trying to move forward! great job!

there has to be a time when architecture moves on into larger more diverse designs but applied to existing buildings, only then can a countrys image be put forward through the future, by changing the most iconic buildings XD and so the white house would be the first of those happenning ^^

i gotta give you props on this one *no pun intended* because i had to draw a 20ft version of the white house and it was absolute HELL. so to construct it.... just mind boggling.

Nice, didn't know you did archetecture as well as swords, but then again, I've been gone.
I like the more... modern... approach to the building, but it still comes out looking regal and official.

I really like how you made this one turn out. You really outdid yourself again Chioky!
What I especially like is the 'heart-shaped' main building. Maybe that's just my imagination, but I think that it is heart-shaped. I don't know if you intended it to turn out like that. but anyway I especially like that part. I think that the tow outer wings of the building give the whole building a extra boost, both as a building and in the status of it, being the house of the President of the United States of America.
And if I might add: You sir, are a magician when it comes to card-board architecture!

heart shaped? I hoped it turned out diamond shape XD The actual white house is long and the most popular is the central building, so I made my design long and in the same way.

Now that you mention it, it does resemble a diamond as well. I think my imagination just got the best of me when first seeing the main building.
